Installation of the Proximity Switch

Proximity Switch 50WVSubtask 52-71-12-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Bulk cargo door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the connector (1) of the cable loom is in the correct condition.
Subtask 52-71-12-865-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Bulk cargo door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the connector (1) of the cable loom is in the correct condition.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 52-71-12-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Proximity Target
(1) Install the proximity target (7) on the roller lever (4).
(2) Turn the proximity target (7) until the clearance between the target plate and the surface of the roller lever (4) is 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.) (pre-adjustment).
(3) Install the new AIPC 52-33-32-03-150 TAB WASHER (5) and the lock nut (6) to the proximity target (7). Do not safety the lock nut (6) with the tab washer (5) at this step.
Subtask 52-71-12-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the proximity target (7) on the roller lever (4).
(2) Turn the proximity target (7) until the clearance between the target plate and the surface of the roller lever (4) is 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.) (pre-adjustment).
(3) Install the new AIPC 52-33-32-03-150 TAB WASHER (5) and the lock nut (6) to the proximity target (7). Do not safety the lock nut (6) with the tab washer (5) at this step.
B. Installation of the Proximity Sensor
(1) Put the proximity sensor (2) in its installation position on the latch spigot bracket (3).
(2) Install the lock washer (9) on the proximity switch (2) and install it in the correct position.
(3) Install the lock nut (8) on the proximity switch (2) and tighten it.

(5) Remove the blanking caps from the connector (1) of the cable loom and the proximity sensor (2).
(6) Connect the connector (1) of the cable loom with the proximity sensor (2).
Subtask 52-71-12-820-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the proximity sensor (2) in its installation position on the latch spigot bracket (3).
(2) Install the lock washer (9) on the proximity switch (2) and install it in the correct position.
(3) Install the lock nut (8) on the proximity switch (2) and tighten it.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(4) Safety the lock nut (8) and the lock washer (9) with (5) Remove the blanking caps from the connector (1) of the cable loom and the proximity sensor (2).
(6) Connect the connector (1) of the cable loom with the proximity sensor (2).
C. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(1) Close and lock the Bulk cargo-compartment door from the inner side (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(2) Measure the distance "X" between the surface of the target plate (7) and the surface of the latch spigot bracket (3).
(a) Loosen the lock nut (6) and turn the proximity target (7) until the distance is correct.
(b) Tighten the lock nut (6) and safety it with the new tab washer (5).
Subtask 52-71-12-865-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close and lock the Bulk cargo-compartment door from the inner side (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(2) Measure the distance "X" between the surface of the target plate (7) and the surface of the latch spigot bracket (3).
NOTE: The distance "X" must be between 44.2 mm (1.7402 in.) and 44.8 mm (1.7638 in.).
(3) If the distance "X" is not correct, adjust the proximity target (7) as follows: (a) Loosen the lock nut (6) and turn the proximity target (7) until the distance is correct.
(b) Tighten the lock nut (6) and safety it with the new tab washer (5).
D. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

E. Do an operational test to make sure that the function of the proximity switch 50WV is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).
5. Close-upSubtask 52-71-12-410-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Install the protection cover (12) as follows:
(a) Put the gasket (10) together with the plate (11) in their installation positions on the floor panel 162KF.
(b) Put the protection cover (12) in its installation position on the Bulk door frame.
(c) Install the screws (14) and the washers (13) which attach the protection cover (12) to the Bulk door frame.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close and lock the Bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Install the protection cover (12) as follows:
(a) Put the gasket (10) together with the plate (11) in their installation positions on the floor panel 162KF.
(b) Put the protection cover (12) in its installation position on the Bulk door frame.
(c) Install the screws (14) and the washers (13) which attach the protection cover (12) to the Bulk door frame.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close and lock the Bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
