A. Energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the avionics compartment door 822.
(2) Open the avionics compartment door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-71-00-820-080-A

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch

Proximity Switch - Avionics Compartment Door 822

WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

(1) Make sure that the door is open.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector of the proximity switch.
(3) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4) Measure the clearance J2 between the target (1) and the proximity sensor (2).

The clearance J2 must be 5.2 mm (0.2047 in.) min.

(5) Close the avionics compartment door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(6) Measure the clearance J1 between the target (1) and the proximity sensor (2).

The clearance J1 must be 1 -0.5 mm or +0.5 mm (0.0394 -0.0197 in. or +0.0197 in.).

(7) If the clearance J1 is not in the tolerances, adjust as follows:
(a) Loosen the screws (3), (4), (5) until you can move the support assembly. Adjust the position of the proximity switch to get the correct clearance J1.

NOTE: The target (1) and the proximity sensor (2) must not touch.

(b) Tighten the screws (3), (4), (5).
(8) Connect the electrical connector of the proximity switch.

B. Operational test
(1) Do an operational test of the door warning system related to the avionics compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Open the avionics compartment door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Go out of the avionics compartment.
(4) Close the avionics compartment door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the ground service network
