Adjustment of the Proximity Switches of the Emergency Exits with the Door Checking Tool
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
1. Reason for the Job- KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
There are two methods to do the adjustment of the proximity switches of the emergency exits:
- Mechanically - with the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS
- Electronically - with the ECAM DU.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 835 or 845.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the inner side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
Subtask 52-71-00-010-093-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 835 or 845.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the inner side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
C. Removal of the Lining Panel
(1) Remove the applicable lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-802):
(a) For 6WN1:

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity switch (2).
(3) Connect the 355M03210000 CHECKING TOOL-DOORS or the G55M03210000 CHECKING TOOL - DOORS to the electrical connector of the proximity switch (2).
(4) Removal of the lockwire:
(5) Loosen the nut (4) of the target (3).
(6) Turn the target (3) until the NEAR indicator light comes on.
(8) From this position, turn the target (3) 3.5 turns in the direction of the proximity switch (2).
(9) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 4 and 3 m.N (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(10) Safety the nut (4) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(11) Disconnect the 355M03210000 CHECKING TOOL-DOORS or the G55M03210000 CHECKING TOOL - DOORS from the proximity switch (2).
(12) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
Subtask 52-71-00-865-088-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXIT DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.
(1) Make sure that the emergency exits are closed. (2) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity switch (2).
(3) Connect the 355M03210000 CHECKING TOOL-DOORS or the G55M03210000 CHECKING TOOL - DOORS to the electrical connector of the proximity switch (2).
(4) Removal of the lockwire:
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (4). (5) Loosen the nut (4) of the target (3).
(6) Turn the target (3) until the NEAR indicator light comes on.
NOTE: The target (3) must not touch the proximity switch (2).
(7) Turn the target (3) in the opposite direction until the FAR indicator light comes on. (8) From this position, turn the target (3) 3.5 turns in the direction of the proximity switch (2).
(9) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 4 and 3 m.N (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(11) Disconnect the 355M03210000 CHECKING TOOL-DOORS or the G55M03210000 CHECKING TOOL - DOORS from the proximity switch (2).
(12) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test
(1) Do an operational test of the warning system related to the emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-00-710-002).

Subtask 52-71-00-410-096-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Lining Panel
(1) Install the insulation.
(2) Install the removed lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-802):
(a) For 6WN1:

B. Close Access
(1) Obey the special precautions after work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-71-00-862-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the special precautions after work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
