B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the applicable avionics compartment door.
(2) Open the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or 812 or 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
Subtask 52-71-00-865-063-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the applicable avionics compartment door.
(2) Open the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or 812 or 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Removal of Components

(a) Remove the access panel 121CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-13-000-001)
(2) FOR [40WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
(a) Remove the access panel 128EG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-13-000-001)
4. Procedure(1) FOR [36WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, FWD AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
(a) Remove the access panel 121CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-13-000-001)
(2) FOR [40WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
(a) Remove the access panel 128EG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-13-000-001)

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector of the proximity switch (1).
(3) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4) Measure the clearance J2 between the target (2) and the proximity switch (1).
(a) Make sure that you turn the handle fully and push it into the recess.
(6) Measure the clearance J1 between the target (2) and the proximity switch (1).
(a) Cut the lockwire from the nut (3).
(b) Loosen the nut (3) of the target (2).
(c) Turn the target (2) until to get the correct clearance J1.

(e) Safety the nut (3) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -
(8) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector(s).
(9) Connect the electrical connector of the proximity switch (1) to its related connector.
Subtask 52-71-00-865-064-A WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.
(1) Make sure that the door is open. (2) Disconnect the electrical connector of the proximity switch (1).
(3) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4) Measure the clearance J2 between the target (2) and the proximity switch (1).
- The clearance J2 must be 5.2 mm (0.2047 in.) min.
(a) Make sure that you turn the handle fully and push it into the recess.
(6) Measure the clearance J1 between the target (2) and the proximity switch (1).
- The clearance J1 must be 1 -0.5 mm or +0.5 mm (0.0394 -0.0197 in. or +0.0197 in.).
(a) Cut the lockwire from the nut (3).
(b) Loosen the nut (3) of the target (2).
(c) Turn the target (2) until to get the correct clearance J1.
NOTE: The target (2) and the proximity switch (1) must not touch.
(d) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.7 and 0.6 m.daN (61.95 and 53.10 lbf.in ) . (e) Safety the nut (3) with
(8) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector(s).
(9) Connect the electrical connector of the proximity switch (1) to its related connector.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Do an operational test of the door warning system related to the avionics compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Open the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or 812 or 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Go out of the avionics compartment.
(4) Close the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or
812 or
or 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-71-00-862-063-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Open the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or 812 or 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Go out of the avionics compartment.
(4) Close the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or

(5) Remove the access platform(s).
