Adjustment of the Proximity Switches of the Emergency Exits with the ECAM DU
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
1. Reason for the Job- KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
There are two methods to do the adjustment of the proximity switches of the emergency exits:
- Mechanically - with the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS
- Electronically - with the ECAM DU.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 or 843 or 844.
(2) Open applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 or 843 or 844 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Close applicable emergency exit 833 or 843 or 834 or 844 from the inner side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
Subtask 52-71-00-010-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 or 843 or 844.
(2) Open applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 or 843 or 844 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Close applicable emergency exit 833 or 843 or 834 or 844 from the inner side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
C. Removal of the Lining Panel
(1) Remove the applicable lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-009) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010):
(a) For 59WV1:
Subtask 52-71-00-010-065-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the applicable lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-009) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010):
(a) For 59WV1:
- Lining panel 231NX.
- Lining panel 232NX.
- Lining panel 251FX.
- Lining panel 252FX.
D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 835 or 845.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the inner side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
Subtask 52-71-00-010-072-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 835 or 845.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the inner side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
E. Removal of the Lining Panel
(1) Remove the applicable lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010):
(a) For 61WV1:

(a) For 61WV1:
- Lining panel 251MX.
- Lining panel 252MX.
F. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the emergency exits are closed.
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the DOOR key (on the lower ECAM DU, the DOOR/OXY page comes into view).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the emergency exits are closed.
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the DOOR key (on the lower ECAM DU, the DOOR/OXY page comes into view).
Subtask 52-71-00-820-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(2) Loosen the nut (4) of the target (3).
(3) Turn the target (3) until the symbol of the door becomes green on the lower ECAM DU.
(5) From this position, turn the target (3) between 2 and 2.5 turns in the direction of the proximity switch (2).
(6) Tighten the nut (4).
(7) Safety the nut (4) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -
Subtask 52-71-00-820-062-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXIT DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.
(1) Remove the lockwire: WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (4). (2) Loosen the nut (4) of the target (3).
(3) Turn the target (3) until the symbol of the door becomes green on the lower ECAM DU.
NOTE: The target (3) must not touch the proximity switch (2).
(4) Turn the target (3) in the opposite direction until the symbol becomes amber on the lower ECAM DU. (5) From this position, turn the target (3) between 2 and 2.5 turns in the direction of the proximity switch (2).
(6) Tighten the nut (4).
(7) Safety the nut (4) with the

(3) Turn the target (3) until the symbol of the door becomes green on the lower ECAM DU.
(5) From this position, turn the target (3) 3.5 turns in the direction of the proximity switch (2).
(6) Tighten the nut (4).
(7) Safety the nut (4) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -
Subtask 52-71-00-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXIT DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.
(1) Removal of the lockwire: WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(6) Tighten the nut (4).

(1) Do an operational test of the warning system related to the emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the warning system related to the emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
Subtask 52-71-00-410-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
B. Installation of the Lining Panel
(1) Install the insulation.
(2) Install the removed lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-009) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010):
(a) For 59WV1:
Subtask 52-71-00-862-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the insulation.
(2) Install the removed lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-004) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-009) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010):
(a) For 59WV1:
- Lining panel 231NX.
- Lining panel 232NX.
- Lining panel 251FX.
- Lining panel 252FX.
C. Close Access
(1) Obey the special precautions after the work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close applicable emergency exit 833 or 843 or 834 or 844 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-71-00-410-075-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the special precautions after the work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close applicable emergency exit 833 or 843 or 834 or 844 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
D. Installation of the Lining Panel
(1) Install the insulation.
(2) Install the removed lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010):
(a) For 61WV1:

(1) Obey the special precautions after the work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-71-00-410-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the special precautions after the work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close applicable emergency exit 835 or 845 from the outer side of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
