WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.

WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:

THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.

IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:

KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at passenger/crew door 831, 841, 832 or 842.
(a) Open the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(b) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

C. Removal of the Door Lining Panels
(1) FOR [4WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L FWD ESC SLIDE)
Remove lining panel 831CZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
(2) FOR [4WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R FWD ESC SLIDE)
Remove lining panel 841CZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that all the doors are closed.
(2) Do the Electronic Instrument System (EIS) start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the DOOR key.
(4) Make sure that on the lower ECAM DU the "DOOR/OXY" page comes into view.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-71-00-820-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switches (4WN1, 4WN2, 7WN1 and 7WN2)

Adjustment of the Proximity Switches (4WN1, 4WN2, 7WN1, 7WN2, 13WV1, 13WV2, 17WV1 and 17WV2) of the Passenger/Crew Doors ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING.
(2) Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(3) Remove the nut (3).
(4) Remove the washer (4) or (5) and discard it.
(5) Turn the target (2) until the "SLIDE" message comes into view in white on the lower ECAM DU.
(6) Make sure that the target (2) and the proximity switch (1) do not touch.
(7) Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the "SLIDE" message goes out of view on the lower ECAM DU.
(8) From this position, turn the target (2) between two and two and a half turns in the direction of the proximity switch (1).
(9) Apply Cetyl Alcohol base Lubricant-Fasteners Water base - (Material No.03RBB1) on the threads of the target (2).
(10) FOR [4WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L FWD ESC SLIDE), [4WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R FWD ESC SLIDE)
Install the new AIPC 52-11-22-02-214 WASHER (4) or the new AIPC 52-11-81-31-214 WASHER (4).
(11) FOR [7WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L AFT ESC SLIDE), [7WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R AFT ESC SLIDE)
Install the new AIPC 52-13-22-02-214 WASHER (5) or the new AIPC 52-13-84-31-214 WASHER (5).
(12) Install the nut (3).
(13) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(14) Safety the nut (3) with the washer (4) or (5).
(15) Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
(16) Install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING.

B. Adjustment of the Proximity Switches (13WV1, 13WV2, 17WV1 and 17WV2)

Adjustment of the Proximity Switches (4WN1, 4WN2, 7WN1, 7WN2, 13WV1, 13WV2, 17WV1 and 17WV2) of the Passenger/Crew Doors ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove the nut (3).
(2) Remove the washer (6) or (7) and discard it.
(3) Turn the target (2) until the symbol of the door becomes green on the lower ECAM DU.
(4) Make sure that the target (2) and the proximity switch (1) do not touch.
(5) Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the symbol of the door becomes amber on the lower ECAM DU.
(6) From this position, turn the target (2) between two and two and a half turns in the direction of the proximity switch (1).
(7) Apply Cetyl Alcohol base Lubricant-Fasteners Water base - (Material No.03RBB1) on the threads of the target (2).
(8) FOR [13WV1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L FWD PAX/CREW DOOR), [13WV2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R FWD PAX/CREW DOOR)
Install the new AIPC 52-11-11-08-230 WASHER (6) or the new AIPC 52-11-81-10-670 WASHER (6).
(9) FOR [17WV1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L AFT PAX/CREW DOOR), [17WV2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R AFT PAX/CREW DOOR)
Install the new AIPC 52-13-11-08-190 WASHER (7) or the new AIPC 52-13-84-10-630 WASHER (7).
(10) Install the nut (3).
(11) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(12) Safety the nut (3) with the washer (6) or (7).

(11) FOR [7WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L AFT ESC SLIDE), [7WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R AFT ESC SLIDE)
Install the new AIPC 52-13-22-02-214 WASHER (5) or the new AIPC 52-13-84-31-214 WASHER (5).
(12) Install the nut (3).
(13) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(14) Safety the nut (3) with the washer (4) or (5).
(15) Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.

(1) Remove the nut (3).
(2) Remove the washer (6) or (7) and discard it.
(3) Turn the target (2) until the symbol of the door becomes green on the lower ECAM DU.
(4) Make sure that the target (2) and the proximity switch (1) do not touch.
(5) Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the symbol of the door becomes amber on the lower ECAM DU.
(6) From this position, turn the target (2) three and a half turns in the direction of the proximity switch (1).
(7) Apply Cetyl Alcohol base Lubricant-Fasteners Water base - (Material No.03RBB1) on the threads of the target (2).

Install the new AIPC 52-11-11-08-230 WASHER (6) or the new AIPC 52-11-81-10-670 WASHER (6).
(9) FOR [17WV1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L AFT PAX/CREW DOOR), [17WV2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R AFT PAX/CREW DOOR)
Install the new AIPC 52-13-11-08-190 WASHER (7) or the new AIPC 52-13-84-10-630 WASHER (7).
(10) Install the nut (3).
(11) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )
