WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.

WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:

THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.

IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:

(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable passenger/crew door.
(b) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(c) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
(2) FOR [28WV] (PROX SW-HANDLE, FWD CARGO COMPT DOOR), [34WV] (PROX SW-HANDLE, AFT CARGO COMPT DOOR)
Do the steps that follow:
(a) Make sure that the applicable cargo compartment door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(b) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.
(3) FOR [30WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, FWD CARGO COMPT DOOR), [32WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT CARGO COMPT DOOR)
Open all the applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove or disconnect:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.
(b) Open the applicable cargo compartment door to get access to the door sill area (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) FOR [19WV1] (PROX SW-HANDLE FLAP, L FWD EMER EXIT), [19WV2] (PROX SW-HANDLE FLAP, R FWD EMER EXIT), [21WV1] (PROX SW-HANDLE FLAP, L AFT EMER EXIT), [21WV2] (PROX SW-HANDLE FLAP, R AFT EMER EXIT)
Open all the applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove or disconnect:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable passenger/crew door.
(b) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(c) Pull the cover flap away from the emergency exit hatch and remove it to get access to the target of the proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001). When you remove more than one cover flap, make a mark on each one to make the installation easier.
(5) FOR [23WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, L AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [36WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, FWD AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [38WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, R AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [40WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
Open all the applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove or disconnect:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable avionics compartment door.
(b) Open the applicable avionics compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(6) FOR [50WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, BULK CARGO COMPT DOOR)
Open all the applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove or disconnect:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(b) Open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(c) Remove the protection cover (3) as follows:

Proximity Switch 50WV ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

1 Remove the screws (1) and the washers (2) from the protection cover (3).
2 Remove the protection cover (3) from the bulk door frame.
3 Remove the plate (4) and the gasket (5) from floor panel 162KF.

B. Get Access

WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.

(3) Dry the connector with the AIR SOURCE 2.5 TO 10 BAR (36.26 TO 145 PSI) - FILTERED.

(c) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) FOR [30WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, FWD CARGO COMPT DOOR), [32WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT CARGO COMPT DOOR)
Do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Make sure that the cargo door is correctly closed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(d) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) FOR [21WV1] (PROX SW-HANDLE FLAP, L AFT EMER EXIT), [21WV2] (PROX SW-HANDLE FLAP, R AFT EMER EXIT)
Do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Make sure that the cover flap is correctly installed on the emergency exit hatch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-400-001).
(d) Close the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(e) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) FOR [23WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, L AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [36WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, FWD AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [38WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, R AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [40WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
