Check of the Proximity Switches of the Doors
1. Reason for the Job
NOTE: You must do this procedure to obey the note related to MMEL item 25-07-0X. This is applicable when there is an incorrect "ARMED" or "NOT ARMED" indication on the slide for the passenger doors. You must do this procedure to clean the related switch and thus get the correct slide "armed" indication on the ECAM DOOR/OXY page.

(1) The identification of the proximity switches is as follows:
(a) 4WN1 for the L FWD passenger/crew door
(b) 4WN2 for the R FWD passenger/crew door
(c) 7WN1 for the L AFT passenger/crew door
(d) 7WN2 for the R AFT passenger/crew door
(e) 6WN1 for the L AFT emergency exit
(f) 6WN2 for the R AFT emergency exit
Subtask 52-70-00-010-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) The identification of the proximity switches is as follows:
(a) 4WN1 for the L FWD passenger/crew door
(b) 4WN2 for the R FWD passenger/crew door

(e) 6WN1 for the L AFT emergency exit

B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.
(2) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-70-00-865-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.
(2) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

A. Check of the Defective Proximity Switch
(1) Clean the defective proximity switch with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the defective proximity switch.
1 If a new proximity switch is available:
5. Close-up(1) Clean the defective proximity switch with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the defective proximity switch.
1 If a new proximity switch is available:
- Remove the defective proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-000-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-000-004).
- Install the new proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-400-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-400-004).
NOTE: If a switch from the avionics compartment was used, the MMEL for the avionics-compartment door indication (Ref. AMM TASK 52-70-00-040-004) will be applicable if the avionics-compartment door indication is incorrect.
- Do a check of the proximity switch you will remove. To do this, do a test of the door warning system of the related avionics compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).
- Remove the proximity switch of the avionics compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-14-000-001).
- Install this proximity switch on the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-400-002) or emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-11-400-004).
- Refer to the MMEL document for dispatch conditions.

C. Close Access
(1) Remove all the ground support equipment, the maintenance equipment, the standard and special tools and all other items.
(2) Obey the special precautions after the work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(3) Close the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Remove all the ground support equipment, the maintenance equipment, the standard and special tools and all other items.
(2) Obey the special precautions after the work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(3) Close the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
