Visual Check to Make Sure that the Cargo Compartment Doors are Correctly Closed

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 52-70-00-010-050-A

A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-70-00-210-050-G

A. Visual Check of the inoperative FWD and/or AFT Cargo Compartment Doors
(1) Push the handle flap in, to release the door handle.
(2) Pull the door handle up from the door structure in the UNLOCKED direction until the door handle moves 65 degrees.

NOTE: Do not unlock the cargo door at this time.

(3) Make sure that you can see the red marks of each safety in the indication windows of the access panels.
(4) Push the door handle down into the LOCKED position again.
(5) Do a visual check of the external cargo door to make sure that:

The cargo door is aligned with the fuselage.
The vent door is fully closed.
The green marks of each safety cam are in view in the indication windows of the access panels at the lower cargo-door edge.
The door handle is aligned with the cargo door contour.

B. Entry in the Log Book.
(1) Make an entry in the aircraft log book to record that:

the CARGO indication is defective on the lower ECAM DU
the cargo-compartment door is closed and locked.

Subtask 52-70-00-210-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

C. Visual Check to Make Sure that the Bulk Cargo-Compartment Door is Correctly Closed
(1) Do this visual check on the bulk cargo-compartment door:
(a) Push the button of the external door handle to release it from the recess.
(b) Move the external door handle to the OPEN position and push the bulk cargo-compartment door in.
(c) Move the internal or the external door handle to the LOCKED position and examine the lateral barrel locks.

NOTE: The barrel locks turn until their slots cannot engage with the latch spigots at the door frame.

(d) Move the applicable door handle back to the OPEN position.
(e) Pull the door down into the door opening and move the external door handle to the LOCKED position.

NOTE: The bulk cargo-compartment door is aligned with the fuselage.

(f) Push the external door handle into its recess.

D. Entry in the log book.
(1) Make an entry in the aircraft log book to record that:

the BULK indication is defective on the lower ECAM DU
the bulk cargo-compartment door is closed and correctly locked.
