A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-51-14-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Control Unit
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL DURING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION OF THE CONTROL UNIT. THE BONDING WIRES ARE SHORT AND DAMAGE CAN EASILY OCCUR TO THEM.
   (5) Put the control unit (1) in position and connect the electrical connectors (3) and (4).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU PROGRAM THE CONTROL UNIT OF THE COCKPIT- DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM AFTER INSTALLATION. IF YOU DO NOT, ACCESS TO THE COCKPIT AREA WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE.
   (6) Carefully install the control unit (1) and tighten the captive screws (2).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the initialization of the CDLS emergency entry-code.
NOTE: The CDLS emergency entry-code must agree with the airline procedure.
Because of possible effects on safety, the change procedure of the emergency entry-code is not included in the AMM.

D. Operational Test
   (1) Do an operational test of the CDLS (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-710-002).
   (2) Do an operational test of the routine access (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-710-001).
   (3) Do an operational test of the emergency access (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-710-003).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
