   (1) Make sure that the access to the cockpit is available.
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-51-12-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Deadbolt Assembly
   (1) Remove the center electrical release-strike 31MQ (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-12-000-001).
   (2) Examine the deadbolt assembly for wear or damage:
   (3) If it is necessary to remove the deadbolt assembly:
     (a) Remove the nut (7), the washer (6), the washer (5), the screw (1) and the spring (2).
     (b) Remove the pin (10) from the bar lock (11).
     (c) Remove the bar lock (11) from the slot in the slider (3).
     (d) Remove the screw (12), the bush (13) and the insert (4).
     (e) Remove the deadbolt (9) and the spring (8).
