A. Get Access
(1) Remove the cockpit door (referred to as the door) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the cockpit door (referred to as the door) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001).

A. Replacement of the Cockpit-Door Aluminum Profile
(1) Use a HAMMER - SLIDE, PULLER, STANDARD and a SPATULA - WOODEN to remove the damaged aluminum profile.
(2) Discard the damaged aluminum profile.
(3) Make sure that there is no damage to the sandwich panel. If there is damage, replace the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-400-001).
(4) Rub the mating surface of the door with a CLOTH - ABRASIVE (GRADE 120-180) to get a good surface for the bond.
(5) Clean the mating surface of the door with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
(6) Make sure that the mating surface of the door is dry.
(7) Prepare the applicable aluminum profile as follows:
(a) Use the LN9073AT20 - PROFILE and make a new aluminum profile.

(b) Remove the burrs from the edges of the new aluminum profile.
(c) Do the sulfuric acid anodizing of the aluminum profile SRM 512211.
(e) Make sure that the final condition of the aluminum profile is Aluminum 6061-T42.
(8) Bond the new aluminum profile as follows:
(a) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-General Up to 60°C - (Material No.05EAR1) on the mating surfaces of the door and the aluminum profile.
(b) Put the new aluminum profile in position and attach it temporarily with the adhesive tape.
(c) When Epoxy Adhesive-General Up to 60°C - (Material No.05EAR1) is cured, remove the adhesive tape.
(d) Clean the surface around the aluminum profile with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
5. Close-up(1) Use a HAMMER - SLIDE, PULLER, STANDARD and a SPATULA - WOODEN to remove the damaged aluminum profile.
(2) Discard the damaged aluminum profile.
(3) Make sure that there is no damage to the sandwich panel. If there is damage, replace the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-400-001).

(5) Clean the mating surface of the door with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
(6) Make sure that the mating surface of the door is dry.
(7) Prepare the applicable aluminum profile as follows:
(a) Use the LN9073AT20 - PROFILE and make a new aluminum profile.

Cockpit-Door Aluminum Profile ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (c) Do the sulfuric acid anodizing of the aluminum profile SRM 512211.
NOTE: It is permitted to cut the aluminum profile after you have applied the surface protection.
(d) Use a BRUSH - BRISTLED, FIBER, SOFT and clean the surface of the aluminum profile longitudinally. (e) Make sure that the final condition of the aluminum profile is Aluminum 6061-T42.
(8) Bond the new aluminum profile as follows:
(a) Apply Epoxy Adhesive-General Up to 60°C - (Material No.05EAR1) on the mating surfaces of the door and the aluminum profile.
(b) Put the new aluminum profile in position and attach it temporarily with the adhesive tape.
(c) When Epoxy Adhesive-General Up to 60°C - (Material No.05EAR1) is cured, remove the adhesive tape.
(d) Clean the surface around the aluminum profile with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
