A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the cockpit door is closed during the replacement procedure.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Door Escape Hatch
   (1) Pull the quick-release pins (2) of the door brackets (1) so that they come free from the hatch brackets (5).
   (2) Push the door escape hatch (3) in the rear direction until it becomes free from the cut out of the cockpit door (4).

B. Installation of the Door Escape Hatch
   (1) Put the door escape hatch (3) in its installation position at the cockpit door (4).
NOTE: An offset of 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.) is permitted between the surface of the door escape hatch (3) and the cockpit door (4).
   (2) Install the quick-release pins (2) of the door brackets (1) into the hatch brackets (5).
   (3) Make sure that the quick-release pins (2) engage correctly with their related hatch brackets (5).
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
