   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-51-00-820-056-A
A. Adjustment of the Cockpit Door with the Self-Adhesive Foam Tape
   (1) Use the FLASHLIGHT to do the inspection of the self-adhesive foam tape-strips (4).
   (2) Make sure that the self-adhesive foam tape-strips (4), attached to the safety angle (3) and to the cockpit door wall-panel (1), are in the correct condition.
NOTE: The safety angle (3) is installed on the lavatory wall (5).
NOTE: The self-adhesive foam tape-strips (4) are used as door bumpers at four locations: three on the safety angle (3) and one on the cockpit door wall-panel (1).
     (a) If one self-adhesive foam tape-strip (4) is not in the correct condition or is missing, do the steps that follow:
       1 Remove the defective self-adhesive foam tape-strip (4) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
       2 Clean the mating surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
       3 Apply the new AIPC 52-51-01-60-290 SELF-ADHESIVE FOAM TAPE-STRIP (4) or the new AIPC 52-51-01-33-260 TAPE (4) or the new AIPC 52-51-81-10-290 SELF-ADHESIVE FOAM TAPE-STRIP (4).
       4 If no self-adhesive foam tape-strip (4) is available, make the door bumper with the Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.
14JAB1) to the correct width and thickness.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test of the Cockpit Door and the Latch Mechanism
   (1) Do an operational test of the cockpit door (2) and the latch mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-710-002).
   (2) If the results of the test are unsatisfactory or you cannot install the self-adhesive foam tape-strips (4) as in step 4.A:

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
