A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the cockpit door is closed during the operational check.
4. Procedure(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

A. Operational Check Manual Opening of Escape Panel
(1) Pull the quick-release pins (2) out of the hatch brackets (1) to release them from the door brackets (5).
(2) Push the door escape hatch (3) aft until it is out of the cutout of the cockpit door (4).
(5) Make sure that the quick-release pins (2) engage correctly with their related door brackets (5).
5. Close-up(1) Pull the quick-release pins (2) out of the hatch brackets (1) to release them from the door brackets (5).
(2) Push the door escape hatch (3) aft until it is out of the cutout of the cockpit door (4).
NOTE: Push only the upper right or left corners of the door escape hatch (3) to prevent damage to the hatch.
(3) Put the door escape hatch (3) in its installation position at the cockpit door (4). NOTE: An offset of 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.) is permitted between the surface of the door escape hatch (3) and the cockpit door (4).
(4) Install the quick-release pins (2) through the hatch brackets (1) and into the door brackets (5). (5) Make sure that the quick-release pins (2) engage correctly with their related door brackets (5).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
