Subtask 52-51-00-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Test of the Routine Access
   (1) Do the operational test to make sure that the buzzer and the keypad operate satisfactory.
ACTION
RESULT
1.At Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the numerical access code.
  • If necessary, on keypad 25MQ enter the routine access code.
NOTE: The length of the routine access code can be from zero to seven digits.
  • On keypad 25MQ, push # key.
  • Buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling panel comes on for a minimum of two seconds.
  • The cockpit door stays locked.
2.On COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Set and hold toggle switch 26MQ to the UNLOCK position in 30 seconds.
  • The green LED comes on.

At the cockpit door:
  • The solenoids of electrical release strikes 30MQ, 31MQ and 32MQ are de-energized and their plungers retract so that the catches are free.
  • The cockpit door is in the UNLOCK condition.
3.At the cockpit door:

  • Push or pull the cockpit door in the open direction.
  • The cockpit door moves in the open direction.

On COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • OPEN indicator light 22MQ comes on.
4.On COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:

  • Release toggle switch 26MQ.
  • Toggle switch 26MQ returns to the NORM position automatically.

At the cockpit door:
  • The solenoids of electrical release strikes 30MQ, 31MQ and 32MQ are energized and their plungers extend so that the catches are blocked.

On keypad 25MQ:
  • The green LED goes off.
5.At the cockpit door:

  • Push or pull the cockpit door in the closed direction.
  • The cockpit door closes and is automatically locked.

On COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • The OPEN lamp of indicator light 22MQ goes off.

At the cockpit door:
  • Try to open the cockpit door.
  • The cockpit door does not open.
6.On keypad 25MQ:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the numerical access code.
  • If necessary, on keypad 25MQ enter the routine access code.
NOTE: The length of the routine access code can be from zero to seven digits.
  • On keypad 25MQ, push # key.
  • Buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling panel comes on for a minimum of two seconds.
7.On COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
On keypad 25MQ:
  • Set and hold toggle switch 26MQ to the LOCK position.
  • The red LED comes on.

At the cockpit door:
  • The cockpit door stays locked.
NOTE: During a period of five minutes to 15 minutes the functions of keypad 25MQ and buzzer 23MQ are de-energized. You can energize these again when you set toggle switch 26MQ to the UNLOCK position.
  • Release toggle switch 26MQ.
On COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • Toggle switch 26MQ returns to the NORM position automatically.

   (1) Do the operational test to make sure that the buzzer and the keypad operate satisfactorily.

  • Set and hold toggle switch 26MQ to the UNLOCK position in 30 seconds.
  • The green LED comes on.

At the cockpit door:

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
