Subtask 52-51-00-010-057-A
A. Remove the door escape hatch from the cockpit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-960-002).
4. Procedure

A. Detailed Inspection of the Door Escape Hatch
   (1) Do a visual inspection of the door escape hatch to find a possible damage.
   (2) Measure the depth of the found damage to make sure that a repair is permitted.
NOTE: The maximum permitted depth of the damage is 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.). The reference plane is the surface of the decor foil.
   (3) If the damage is more than 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.), replace the door escape hatch before the next flight.

B. Repair Procedure
   (1) Easy Repair of the Decor Foil (Scratch)
     (a) Clean the damaged area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (b) Apply Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) to the damaged area.
   (2) Replacement of the Decor Foil
     (a) Replace the decor foil as follows:
       1 Carefully cut the decor foil around the damaged area and peel off the edges.
       2 Make sure that you do not damage the surface of the inner S-glas sheet.
       3 Use a HOT AIR BLOWER MAX OPERATING 370 DEG C (700 DEG F) to apply heat to the edges of the decor foil. Do this until they have a maximum of 95 deg.C (203.00 deg.F) and not longer than 10 minutes.
       4 Carefully remove the decor foil with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC and make sure that all loose particles are removed.
     (b) Prepare the repair area as follows:
CAUTION: USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED MATERIALS AND OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURERS. OTHER MATERIALS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION OF THE COMPONENTS AND THE RELATED AREA.
       1 Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
       2 Let the surface dry for 15 minutes.
       3 If necessary, apply a filler, Paste Adhesive-Polyester Filler - (Material No.13FCA1) , to the damage to get a smooth surface .
       4 Obey the manufacturer instruction and let the filler dry .
       5 Prepare the damaged area with PAPER - ABRASIVE (GRADE 320) to get a smooth surfce.
       6 Clean the damaged area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
       7 Let the surface dry for 15 minutes.
     (c) Prepare a piece of new decor foil Adhesive Deco. Film-Decorative Foil Multi Adhesive Furnishing Legacy (Material No.05VKU9) with the same dimension as the repair area.
     (d) Carefully remove the protective layer from the decor foil and put the decor foil on the repair area.
     (e) Push the decor foil with your hand and make sure that it bonds correctly.
5. Close-up

A. Install the door escape hatch in the cockpit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-960-002).
