A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 190.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 190.
Subtask 52-42-27-560-050-A
A. Preparation for the Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the sealing strip (1) is in the correct condition on the service panel (2).
(3) If necessary, replace the sealing strip (1):
(a) Remove and discard the sealing strip (1).
(b) Clean the area with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(c) Cut the sealing strip (1) to the necessary length.
(d) Install the new AIPC 52-42-03-52-120 SECTION (1) or the new AIPC 52-42-83-55-060 SECTION (1).
Subtask 52-42-27-420-050-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the sealing strip (1) is in the correct condition on the service panel (2).
(3) If necessary, replace the sealing strip (1):
(a) Remove and discard the sealing strip (1).
(b) Clean the area with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(c) Cut the sealing strip (1) to the necessary length.
(d) Install the new AIPC 52-42-03-52-120 SECTION (1) or the new AIPC 52-42-83-55-060 SECTION (1).
B. Installation of Service Panel 198DB
(1) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
at the screw (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(2) Lift the service panel (2) and hold it.
(3) Install the bracket (7), the screws (8) and (10), the bonding strap (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (4).
(4) Tighten the nuts (4).
(5) Connect the lanyard (9) to the bracket (7).
(6) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(7) Put the service panel (2) in position.
(8) Tighten the studs (3).
(9) (a) Make sure that lateral clearances J1 are 2.5 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0.10 -0.06 in. or +0.06 in.).
(b) Make sure that skin offsets J2 are 0 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0 -0.06 in. or +0.06 in.).
(c) Make sure that skin offsets J3 are 0 -1.0 mm or +1.0 mm (0 -0.04 in. or +0.04 in.).

5. Close-up(1) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
at the screw (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(2) Lift the service panel (2) and hold it.
(3) Install the bracket (7), the screws (8) and (10), the bonding strap (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (4).
(4) Tighten the nuts (4).
(5) Connect the lanyard (9) to the bracket (7).
(6) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(7) Put the service panel (2) in position.
(8) Tighten the studs (3).
(9) (a) Make sure that lateral clearances J1 are 2.5 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0.10 -0.06 in. or +0.06 in.).
(b) Make sure that skin offsets J2 are 0 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0 -0.06 in. or +0.06 in.).
(c) Make sure that skin offsets J3 are 0 -1.0 mm or +1.0 mm (0 -0.04 in. or +0.04 in.).
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE THE FASTENERS TO ADJUST THE PANEL.
IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FASTENERS OF THE PANEL.
(d) Make sure that the studs (3) and their related receptacles are correctly aligned.CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN THE SPECIFIED TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT(S).
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TORQUE THE FASTENER. MAKE SURE THAT THE ROTATING SPEED IS NOT MORE THAN 275 RPM. THE RECOMMENDED ROTATING SPEED IS 150 RPM. HIGHER VALUES THAN THE MAXIMUM TORQUE AND ROTATING SPEED CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PANEL AND THE STRUCTURE.
(10) TORQUE the studs (3) to between 3.0 and 2.7 m.N (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
