A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access door.
4. Procedure

A. Deactivation of the Access Door to Potable Water Filling and Drainage (133AL, 171AL)
   (1) Before you start the deactivation, make sure that the potable water tank-system is filled for the subsequent flight.
   (2) If necessary, fill the potable water tank-system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-002).
   (3) Remove the applicable damaged access door:
   (4) For access door 171AL, put limit switch 5MA (1) in the closed position:
     (a) Push limit switch 5MA (1) and put the pins (2) in its holes.
NOTE: The diameter of the pins is 3.5 -0 mm or +0.5 mm (0.1378 -0 in. or +0.0197 in.).
NOTE: You can use rivets as an alternative to the pins.
     (b) Safety the pins (2) with Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
   (5) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (6) Clean the fuselage around the cutout of the access door with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Non structural use - - (Material No.08BPA1) .
   (7) Apply three layers of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to fully close the cutout of the access door as follows:
     (a) Apply the first layer of high-speed tape longitudinally on the access door cutout.
     (b) Apply the second layer of high-speed tape diagonally to make an overlap with the first layer.
     (c) Apply the third layer of high-speed tape diagonally but in the opposite direction to the second layer.
     (d) Make sure that there is no damage or contamination before each flight.
   (8) If you did not do the reactivation of the access door for seven days, do the inspection for the integrity of the high-speed tape (Ref. AMM TASK 52-42-00-440-804). Refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 517712).
   (9) Replace the high-speed tape at intervals of five flight cycles.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Make an entry in the logbook.
