A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position below the external-power receptacle door 121AL.
   (2) Open the external-power receptacle door 121AL.
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-42-00-040-052-A
A. Deactivation of External-Power Receptacle Door 121AL
   (1) Remove damaged external-power receptacle door 121AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-42-12-000-001).
   (2) Clean the fuselage around the cutout of external-power receptacle door 121AL with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Non structural use - - (Material No.08BPA1) .
   (3) Make sure that you clean from the cutout edge to dimension X 25.4 mm (1.00 in.) for the correct application of the high speed tape.
   (4) Use the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and make sure that you fully dry the belly fairing structure around the cutout to dimension X 25.4 mm (1.00 in.).
   (5) Apply Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) across the cutout of external-power receptacle door 121AL:
NOTE: Replacement of the high-speed tape is necessary after 5 flight cycles.
     (a) Apply the first layer of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) longitudinally across the cutout of external-power receptacle door 121AL.
     (b) Apply the second layer of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) diagonally across the cutout of external-power receptacle door 121AL.
     (c) Apply the third layer of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) diagonally opposite the second layer across the cutout of external-power receptacle door 121AL.
     (d) Make sure that all the layers have an overlap of dimension Y (50% of the width of the tape in use) or a minimum of 12 mm (0.47 in.) (if the tape has insufficient width).
     (e) Make sure that there is no damage or contamination before each flight.

   (1) Remove the access platform(s).
   (2) Make an entry in the aircraft logbook.
NOTE: You must do a check of the high-speed tape before each flight. It is necessary to replace any high-speed tape that is damaged.
