A. Deactivation of Toilet Servicing Door 172AR
(1) Before you start the deactivation procedure, make sure that the toilet system is serviceable for the next flight (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-680-001).
(2) Remove the remaining part(s) of the aft lavatory service-door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-42-11-000-001).
(3) Install the screws (3).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Clean the structure around the cutout of the applicable lavatory service door with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(6) Put limit switch 44MG (1) in the closed position:
(7) Apply three layers of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to fully close the cutout of the lavatory service door as follows:
(a) Apply the first layer of high-speed tape longitudinally on the cutout layer.
(b) Apply the second layer of high-speed tape diagonally to make an overlap with the first layer.
(c) Apply the third layer of high-speed tape diagonally but in the opposite direction to the second layer.
5. Close-up(1) Before you start the deactivation procedure, make sure that the toilet system is serviceable for the next flight (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-680-001).
(2) Remove the remaining part(s) of the aft lavatory service-door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-42-11-000-001).

(6) Put limit switch 44MG (1) in the closed position:
NOTE: There are two aircraft configuration options with the deactivated toilet servicing-door:
(a) Push limit switch 44MG (1) and put the pins (2) in its holes. - If you put limit switch 44MG in the closed position, the toilet system will operate in flight and on the ground (also during servicing).
- If you do not, the toilet system will not operate when the aircraft is on the ground. It will only operate during the flight.
NOTE: The diameter of the pins is 3.5 -0 mm or +0.5 mm (0.14 +0.00 in. or +0.02 in.).
NOTE: You can use rivets as an alternative to the pins.
(b) Safety the pins (2) with Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) . (7) Apply three layers of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to fully close the cutout of the lavatory service door as follows:
