A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(2) Make sure that access door 312AR is open.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(2) Make sure that access door 312AR is open.

A. Preparation of the Replacement Components
(1) Lock the latch assemblies (7).
(2) Adjust the set screws (8) of the latch assemblies (7) to a dimension of 6.2 mm (0.2441 in.).
(3) Unlock the latch assemblies (7).
(5) Install the shims (3) as necessary.
Subtask 52-41-16-560-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Lock the latch assemblies (7).
(2) Adjust the set screws (8) of the latch assemblies (7) to a dimension of 6.2 mm (0.2441 in.).
(3) Unlock the latch assemblies (7).
NOTE: To get the correct door clearances A and C, you can install a maximum of two shims (3) at each hinge assembly (5).
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the mating surface of the shims (3), if installed. (5) Install the shims (3) as necessary.
B. Preparation of the Replacement Components (for Access Door P/N D52470005020)
(1) Lock the latch assemblies (7).
(2) Adjust the set screws (8) of the latch assemblies (7) to a dimension of 6.2 mm (0.2441 in.).
(3) Unlock the latch assemblies (7).
(4) Install the shims (3) as necessary.

(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the threads of the screws (4).
Subtask 52-41-16-910-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the mating surface of the hinge assemblies (5).
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the threads of the screws (4).
D. Preparation for Installation (for Access Door P/N D52470005020)
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the threads of the screws (4).

E. Installation of the Access Door
(1) Put the access door (6) in its installation position.
(2) Install the washers (2), the screws (4) and the nuts (1).
(3) Attach the bonding strap (12) with the washers (10), the screw (11) and the nut (9) on the access door (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
5. Close-up(1) Put the access door (6) in its installation position.
(2) Install the washers (2), the screws (4) and the nuts (1).
(3) Attach the bonding strap (12) with the washers (10), the screw (11) and the nut (9) on the access door (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply a layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-001).
(3) Close the access door (6).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply a layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-001).
(3) Close the access door (6).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
