3. Job Set-up
Subtask 52-41-11-860-053-A

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 120.
(2) Make sure that the forward avionics-compartment door 811 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-11-000-001).
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-41-11-420-053-A

A. Installation of the Seal

Seal of the Forward Avionics-Compartment Door

(1) Put the seal (2) in position around the door (1).
(2) Put the seal-retainers (3) in position. Make sure that the groove of the seal (2) is between the seal-retainers (3) and the door (1).

NOTE: Refer to the marks made during the removal procedure to install the seal-retainers (3) in the correct position.

(3) Install the 24 washers (5) and the 24 screws (4).

NOTE: Do not fully tighten them at this time.

(4) Do a visual check of the seal (2) position.
(5) Slowly tighten the screws (4). Make sure that the pressure of the seal-retainers (3) stays regular.

A. Close Access
(1) Install the forward avionics-compartment door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-11-400-001).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
