A. Preparation for the Deactivation
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below damaged access door 197FB.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below damaged access door 197FB.
Subtask 52-41-00-040-050-A
A. Deactivation of the Access Door
(1) Remove the remaining part of damaged access door 197FB (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-24-000-001).
(2) Temporarily attach the remaining support link to the adjacent belly fairing structure.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(a) Use the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the belly fairing panel around the cutout.
(4) Apply three layers of high-speed tape Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to the cutout of the belly fairing panel as follows:
(b) Apply the second layer diagonally on the first layer and make sure that there is an overlap of each tape strip.
(c) Apply the third layer diagonally opposite to the second layer and make sure that there is an overlap of each tape strip.
(d) Make sure that the adhesive tape has a minimum overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) around the cutout of the belly fairing panel.
(5) Do an inspection of the high-speed tape at each three days:
(a) If you find damage, refer to step (4) to replace the high-speed tape.
5. Close-up(1) Remove the remaining part of damaged access door 197FB (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-24-000-001).
(2) Temporarily attach the remaining support link to the adjacent belly fairing structure.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(a) Use the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the belly fairing panel around the cutout.
(4) Apply three layers of high-speed tape Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to the cutout of the belly fairing panel as follows:
NOTE: It is acceptable to use tape Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - Sound damping - (Material No.05RAC1) as an alternative of the high-speed tape Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
(a) Apply the first layer longitudinally across the cutout of the belly fairing panel. (b) Apply the second layer diagonally on the first layer and make sure that there is an overlap of each tape strip.
(c) Apply the third layer diagonally opposite to the second layer and make sure that there is an overlap of each tape strip.
(d) Make sure that the adhesive tape has a minimum overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) around the cutout of the belly fairing panel.
(5) Do an inspection of the high-speed tape at each three days:
(a) If you find damage, refer to step (4) to replace the high-speed tape.
