B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(5) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(7) Make sure that the cargo door is safetied in its opened position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
4. Procedure(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(5) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(7) Make sure that the cargo door is safetied in its opened position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-36-18-420-055-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the proximity switch (2).
(3) Install the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-060 BACK-UP RING (3) and the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-050 PACKING (4) on the proximity switch (2).
Subtask 52-36-18-420-056-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the proximity switch (2) installed on the door actuator (6) PN S4-3300520.
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the proximity switch (2).
(3) Install the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-060 BACK-UP RING (3) and the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-050 PACKING (4) on the proximity switch (2).
B. Preparation for Installation
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the proximity switch (2).
(3) Install the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-020 RING SEAL (3) and the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-010 PACKING (4) on the proximity switch (2).
Subtask 52-36-18-420-057-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the proximity switch (2) installed on the door actuator (6) PN S4-3300520-01.
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the proximity switch (2).
(3) Install the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-020 RING SEAL (3) and the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-010 PACKING (4) on the proximity switch (2).
C. Preparation for Installation
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the proximity switch (4).
(3) Lubricate the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-020 RING SEAL (3) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
(4) Install the new ring seal (3) on the proximity switch (4).
Subtask 52-36-18-420-051-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the proximity switch (4) installed on the door actuator (1) PN E20000.
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the proximity switch (4).
(3) Lubricate the new AIPC 52-36-18-01-020 RING SEAL (3) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
(4) Install the new ring seal (3) on the proximity switch (4).
D. Installation of the Proximity Switch
(2) TORQUE the proximity switch (2) to between 0.22 and 0.18 m.daN (19.47 and 15.93 lbf.in )

(3) Before you apply the external sealing compound, extend and retract the door actuator (6) through 20 cycles, approximately 25 mm (0.9843 in.) each.
(4) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) around the mating surfaces of the proximity switch (2) and the switch housing (5).

(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
Subtask 52-36-18-420-053-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the proximity switch (2) installed on the door actuator (6) PN S4-3300520.
NOTE: It is not necessary to fully extend and retract the door actuator (6).
(1) Install the proximity switch (2) in the switch housing (5). (2) TORQUE the proximity switch (2) to between 0.22 and 0.18 m.daN (19.47 and 15.93 lbf.in )
. (3) Before you apply the external sealing compound, extend and retract the door actuator (6) through 20 cycles, approximately 25 mm (0.9843 in.) each.
(4) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) around the mating surfaces of the proximity switch (2) and the switch housing (5).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(5) Safety the proximity switch (2) with (6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
E. Installation of the Proximity Switch
(2) TORQUE the proximity switch (2) to between 0.22 and 0.18 m.daN (19.47 and 15.93 lbf.in )

Subtask 52-36-18-420-054-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the proximity switch (2) installed on the door actuator (6) PN S4-3300520-01.
NOTE: It is not necessary to fully extend and retract the door actuator (6).
(1) Install the proximity switch (2) in the switch housing (5). (2) TORQUE the proximity switch (2) to between 0.22 and 0.18 m.daN (19.47 and 15.93 lbf.in )
. (3) Before you apply the external sealing compound, extend and retract the door actuator (6) through 20 cycles, approximately 25 mm (0.9843 in.) each.

(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
F. Installation of the Proximity Switch
(2) TORQUE the proximity switch (4) to between 1.1 and 0.9 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )

(4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the proximity switch (4).
Subtask 52-36-18-865-055-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the proximity switch (4) installed on the door actuator (1) PN E20000.
(1) Use the E20000Z3-1 SENSOR KEY TOOL to install the proximity switch (4) in the switch housing (2). (2) TORQUE the proximity switch (4) to between 1.1 and 0.9 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )
. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(3) Safety the proximity switch (4) with (4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the proximity switch (4).
G. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

H. Preparation for the Test
(1) Remove the warning notices from the ground service panel and the overhead panel of the cockpit.
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
(4) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the support struts from the applicable cargo door and the access platform (if necessary).
(6) Bleed the door hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-00-600-001).
Subtask 52-36-18-710-050-A (1) Remove the warning notices from the ground service panel and the overhead panel of the cockpit.
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
(4) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the support struts from the applicable cargo door and the access platform (if necessary).
(6) Bleed the door hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-00-600-001).
I. Operational Test
(1) Open and close the applicable cargo door hydraulically (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Make sure that the green indicator light (on the applicable control panel) is on when the door is open and goes off when the door starts to close.
(3) Make sure that there are no leaks around the proximity switch housing.
(4) Open the applicable cargo door when the operational test is completed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
5. Close-up(1) Open and close the applicable cargo door hydraulically (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Make sure that the green indicator light (on the applicable control panel) is on when the door is open and goes off when the door starts to close.
(3) Make sure that there are no leaks around the proximity switch housing.
(4) Open the applicable cargo door when the operational test is completed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-36-18-410-052-A
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT from below the door actuator.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the applicable cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Remove the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT from below the door actuator.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the applicable cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
