Cleaning of the Door Actuator

DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY. FLUSH HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR SKIN WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOU GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES OR MOUTH.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Open forward or aft cargo-compartment door 825 or 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.
(3) Install the 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS to safety the applicable cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-480-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open forward or aft cargo-compartment door 825 or 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.
(3) Install the 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS to safety the applicable cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-480-001).

A. Cleaning of the Door Actuator
(1) Disconnect the door actuator from the fuselage structure or the cargo-compartment door structure (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001).
(2) Clean the outer surface of the door actuator with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wax and grease remover - - (Material No.08BDA1) . For the areas where you do not have an easy access, use the BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT.
(3) Flush the outer surface of the door actuator with WATER - DISTILLED to remove the dirt and the remaining cleaning agent.
(4) Radially rub the outer surface of the door actuator with the Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) to remove heavy contamination.
(5) Do steps (2) and (3) again.
(6) Fully mix the Phosphoric Acid Surface Pretreatment-Metals Corrosion Removing - (Material No.10BDB1) before you apply it on the door actuator.
(7) Apply a layer of Phosphoric Acid Surface Pretreatment-Metals Corrosion Removing - (Material No.10BDB1) on the outer surface of the door actuator.
(8) Wait for 25 to 30 minutes.
(9) Flush the outer surface of the door actuator with WATER - DISTILLED.
(10) Remove the remaining contamination with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(11) Make sure that the outer surface of the door actuator is clean.
(12) If necessary, do steps (7) thru (10) again until the outer surface of the door actuator is clean.
(13) Let the door actuator dry.
(14) Attach the door actuator to the fuselage structure or the cargo-compartment door structure (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).
5. Close-up(1) Disconnect the door actuator from the fuselage structure or the cargo-compartment door structure (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001).
(2) Clean the outer surface of the door actuator with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wax and grease remover - - (Material No.08BDA1) . For the areas where you do not have an easy access, use the BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT.

(9) Flush the outer surface of the door actuator with WATER - DISTILLED.
(10) Remove the remaining contamination with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(11) Make sure that the outer surface of the door actuator is clean.
(12) If necessary, do steps (7) thru (10) again until the outer surface of the door actuator is clean.
(13) Let the door actuator dry.
(14) Attach the door actuator to the fuselage structure or the cargo-compartment door structure (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS from the applicable cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-080-001).
(3) Close forward or aft cargo-compartment door 825 or 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS from the applicable cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-080-001).
(3) Close forward or aft cargo-compartment door 825 or 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
