Subtask 52-36-15-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(a) Remove the bolt (2) from the selector (3).
(b) Remove the selector (3) from the square axle of the valve body (18).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (19) from the receptacle of the proximity switch (20).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections as follows:
(a) Loosen the unions (4), (7), (14) and (17) from the valve body (18).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (5), (6), (15) and (16) from the valve body (18).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Disconnect the bonding strap (13) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (11), the washer (12) and the nut (10) from the valve body (18).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (13) from the valve body (18).
(6) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (8).
(7) Remove the valve body (18) from the mounting (1).
(8) Remove the O-ring (21) from the valve body (18) and discard it.

A. Get Access
(1) FOR [2501MJ] (MAN SEL VALVE-FWD CARGO DOOR)
(a) Open the FWD cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Open the access panel 134AR of the door control panel below the fuselage.
(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(d) Remove the applicable floor panel of the FWD cargo compartment between FR29 and FR30 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(2) FOR [2504MJ] (MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR)
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Open the access panel 154AR of the door control panel below the fuselage.
(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
1 Remove the applicable floor panel of the aft cargo compartment between FR56 and FR57 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).

(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Open the access panel 154AR of the door control panel below the fuselage.
(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).

(a) Open the FWD cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Open the access panel 134AR of the door control panel below the fuselage.
(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(d) Remove the applicable floor panel of the FWD cargo compartment between FR29 and FR30 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(2) FOR [2504MJ] (MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR)
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Open the access panel 154AR of the door control panel below the fuselage.
(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
1 Remove the applicable floor panel of the aft cargo compartment between FR59 and FR60 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).

(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(d) Remove the applicable floor panel of the FWD cargo compartment between FR29 and FR30 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(2) FOR [2504MJ] (MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR)
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Open the access panel 154AR of the door control panel below the fuselage.
(c) Find the designation of the applicable floor panel to get access to the manual selector valve (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
1 Remove the applicable floor panel of the aft cargo compartment between FR59 and FR60 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(5) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
4. Procedure(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(5) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
Subtask 52-36-15-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Manual Selector Valve
(a) Remove the screw (1) and the washer (2) from the selector (3).
(b) Remove the selector (3) from the square axle of the valve body (13).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (11) from the receptacle of the proximity switch (12).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections as follows:
(a) Loosen the union nuts (4), (16), (20) and (21) from the valve body (13).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (5), (17), (18) and (19) from the valve body (13).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Disconnect the bonding strap (8) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (6), the washer (7) and the nut (22) from the valve body (13).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (8) from the valve body (13).
(6) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) and disconnect the valve body (13) from the mounting (15).
(7) Remove and discard the O-ring (14) from the valve body (13).
Subtask 52-36-15-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Remove the selector (3) as follows: (a) Remove the screw (1) and the washer (2) from the selector (3).
(b) Remove the selector (3) from the square axle of the valve body (13).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (11) from the receptacle of the proximity switch (12).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections as follows:
(a) Loosen the union nuts (4), (16), (20) and (21) from the valve body (13).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (5), (17), (18) and (19) from the valve body (13).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Disconnect the bonding strap (8) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (6), the washer (7) and the nut (22) from the valve body (13).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (8) from the valve body (13).
(6) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10) and disconnect the valve body (13) from the mounting (15).
(7) Remove and discard the O-ring (14) from the valve body (13).
A. Removal of the Manual Selector Valve
(b) Remove the selector (4) from the square axle of the valve body (21).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (19) from the receptacle of the proximity switch (20).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections as follows:
(a) Loosen the union nuts (5), (8), (15) and (18) from the valve body (21).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (6), (7), (16) and (17) from the valve body (21).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Disconnect the bonding strap (14) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (12), the washer (13) and the nut (11) from the valve body (21).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (14) from the valve body (21).
(6) Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) and remove the valve body (21) from the mounting (23).
(7) Remove and discard the O-ring (22) from the valve body (21).
Subtask 52-36-15-020-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Remove the selector (4) as follows: WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the lockwire (3) from the screw (2) and remove the washer (1) from the selector (4). (b) Remove the selector (4) from the square axle of the valve body (21).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (19) from the receptacle of the proximity switch (20).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections as follows:
(a) Loosen the union nuts (5), (8), (15) and (18) from the valve body (21).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (6), (7), (16) and (17) from the valve body (21).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Disconnect the bonding strap (14) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (12), the washer (13) and the nut (11) from the valve body (21).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (14) from the valve body (21).
(6) Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (9) and remove the valve body (21) from the mounting (23).
(7) Remove and discard the O-ring (22) from the valve body (21).
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
A. Removal of the Manual Selector Valve NOTE: The procedures to remove the manual selector valve 2501MJ and 2504MJ are the same. Only one procedure is given.
(1) Remove the selector (3) as follows: (a) Remove the bolt (2) from the selector (3).
(b) Remove the selector (3) from the square axle of the valve body (18).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (19) from the receptacle of the proximity switch (20).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections as follows:
(a) Loosen the unions (4), (7), (14) and (17) from the valve body (18).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines (5), (6), (15) and (16) from the valve body (18).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Disconnect the bonding strap (13) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (11), the washer (12) and the nut (10) from the valve body (18).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (13) from the valve body (18).
(6) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (8).
(7) Remove the valve body (18) from the mounting (1).
(8) Remove the O-ring (21) from the valve body (18) and discard it.
