A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized. (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (4) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (5) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (6) Put the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT below the electro-manual selector valve 2500MJ to collect the hydraulic fluid.
   (7) Make sure that the access panel 198CB is opened.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-36-12-860-053-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Prepare the bobbins (4) as follows:
     (a) Remove the O-ring (2), the back-up rings (3) and (5) and the square-section seal (6) from the bobbin (4).
     (b) Lubricate the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-083 O-RING (2) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-090 O-RING (2), the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-084 BACK-UP RING (3) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-100 BACK-UP RING (3), the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-086 BACK-UP RING (5) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-120 BACK-UP RING (5) and the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-085 SQUARE-SECTION SEAL (6) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-110 SQUARE-SECTION SEAL (6) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
     (c) Put the new back-up ring (5) in position on the side of the bobbin (4) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (d) Put the new square-section seal (6) in position on the side of the bobbins (4) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (e) Put the new back-up ring (3) in position on the side of the bobbins (4) with the identification grooves (panel side).
     (f) Put the new O-ring (2) in position on the side of the bobbins (4) with the identification grooves (panel side).
   (4) Prepare the bobbin (17) as follows:
     (a) Remove the O-ring (19), the back-up rings (18) and (16) and the square-section seal (15) from the bobbin (17).
     (b) Lubricate the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-093 O-RING (19) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-150 O-RING (19), the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-094 BACK-UP RING (18) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-160 BACK-UP RING (18), the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-096 BACK-UP RING (16) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-180 BACK-UP RING (16) and the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-095 SQUARE-SECTION SEAL (15) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-170 SQUARE-SECTION SEAL (15) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
     (c) Put the new back-up ring (16) in position on the side of the bobbin (17) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (d) Put the new square-section seal (15) in position on the side of the bobbin (17) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (e) Put the new back-up ring (18) in position on the side of the bobbin (17) with the identification grooves (panel side).
     (f) Put the new O-ring (19) in position on the side of the bobbin (17) with the identification grooves (panel side).
   (5) Remove the blanking plugs from the valve panel (1) and install the bobbins (4) and (17) with the identification grooves in the valve panel ports (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
   (6) Put the new AIPC 52-36-04-04-070 O-RING (14) or AIPC 52-36-84-34-070 O-RING (14) in position on the electrical connector (13).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Remove the warning notices from the ground service panel and the overhead panel of the cockpit.
   (2) Connect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
   (3) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (4) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).

E. Operational Test
   (1) Open the cargo door with the hand pump to make sure that the selector valve (7) operates correctly. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
   (2) Close the cargo door with the Yellow electric pump to make sure that the selector valve (7) operates correctly. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Examine the selector valve connections and make sure that there are no leaks.
5. Close-up
Subtask 52-36-12-410-050-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurizied (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the container.
   (4) Close the access door 198CB of the Yellow ground service panel.
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
