Inspection/Check of the Cargo Compartment Door Hydraulic System
CAUTION:
IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Open the FWD and AFT cargo-compartment doors (referred to as cargo doors) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-36-00-865-052-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Open the FWD and AFT cargo-compartment doors (referred to as cargo doors) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Remove access panel 197AB.
(2) Remove the right sidewall linings and the ceiling panels of the forward and aft cargo-compartments.
(3) Remove the floor panels between FR24 and FR59 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
4. Procedure(1) Remove access panel 197AB.
(2) Remove the right sidewall linings and the ceiling panels of the forward and aft cargo-compartments.
(3) Remove the floor panels between FR24 and FR59 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
Subtask 52-36-00-210-050-A
A. Visual Inspection
(1) Examine the hydraulic connections of the subsequent components and make sure that there are no leaks:
(5) If there is corrosion to the outer surface of the door-actuator cylinder body:
(a) Remove the door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001).
(b) Send the door actuator to the workshop for repair.
(c) Install the door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).
(6) Make sure that on the piston rod of the door actuator there are no longitudinal and/or transverse grooves.
(a) Replace the door actuator if you find grooves or cracks on the piston rod (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001)/ (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).
5. Close-up(1) Examine the hydraulic connections of the subsequent components and make sure that there are no leaks:
- at the hand pump 3009GM
- at the electro-manual selector valve 2500MJ
- at the manual selector valves 2501MJ and 2504MJ
- at the door actuators 2502MJ, 2503MJ, 2505MJ, 2506MJ
- at the pipes.
- are correctly attached
- show no damage, for repair (Ref. AMM TASK 51-73-11-300-001)
- are correctly painted, for repair (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
- there is no corrosion, for repair (Ref. AMM TASK 51-74-11-300-001)
- the pipes are not worn, for repair (Ref. AMM TASK 51-73-11-300-001).
(5) If there is corrosion to the outer surface of the door-actuator cylinder body:
(a) Remove the door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001).
(b) Send the door actuator to the workshop for repair.
(c) Install the door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).
(6) Make sure that on the piston rod of the door actuator there are no longitudinal and/or transverse grooves.
(a) Replace the door actuator if you find grooves or cracks on the piston rod (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-000-001)/ (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-18-400-001).

B. Operational Test
(1) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Open the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Open the cargo doors with the hand pump until they are in a vertical position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(5) Close the cargo doors with the hand pump (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(6) Open the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-36-00-410-051-A (1) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Open the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
NOTE: Make sure that the green indicator lights on the control panels come on.
(3) Close the cargo doors with the handpump (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004). (4) Open the cargo doors with the hand pump until they are in a vertical position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(5) Close the cargo doors with the hand pump (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(6) Open the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the floor panels between FR24 and FR59 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(3) Install the right sidewall linings and the ceiling panels of the forward and aft cargo compartments.
(4) Install access panel 197AB.
(5) Close the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the floor panels between FR24 and FR59 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(3) Install the right sidewall linings and the ceiling panels of the forward and aft cargo compartments.
(4) Install access panel 197AB.
(5) Close the cargo doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
