A. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that cargo compartment door 825 or 826 is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.
   (3) Make sure that the related access panel(s) is(are) removed from the applicable cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-31-14-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-14-000-801).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-35-13-420-052-B
A. Installation of Proximity Switch 5MJ or 12MJ
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the electrical connector (1) is in the correct condition.
   (4) Install the proximity switch (3) on the applicable cargo compartment-door structure as follows:
     (a) Install the proximity switch (3) and the screws (2) on the bracket (4).
     (b) Tighten the screws (2).
     (c) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (d) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (3).
   (5) Install the target (7) on the control lever (6) of the locking shaft (10) as follows:
     (a) Install the target (7), the bolts (5), the washers (8) and the nuts (9) on the control lever (6).
     (b) Measure clearance J3 between the target (7) and the proximity switch (3) with the GAGE - FEELER.
     (c) Make sure that clearance J3 is between 1.6 mm (0.0630 in.) and 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).
     (d) If clearance J3 is not in the tolerance, adjust the position of the target (7) as necessary.
     (e) Tighten the nuts (9).

B. Functional Test of Proximity Switch 5MJ or 12MJ
   (1) Do the functional test to make sure that proximity switch 5MJ or 12MJ operates correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 52-35-00-720-001).
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Make sure that the applicable cargo compartment door is correctly closed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Install the related access panel(s) on the applicable cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-31-14-400-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-14-400-801).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
