3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the access panel 154AR of the door control panel below the fuselage is opened.
   (2) Make sure that the aft cargo compartment-door (referred to as cargo door) is opened and the actuator safety locks are installed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the applicable floor panel of the aft cargo compartment is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-35-12-420-051-A
A. Installation of the Indicator Light (8MJ)
   (1) Install the lamp body (3) on the plate (13) as follows:
     (a) Install the new AIPC 52-35-04-01-015 HEAT-SHRINK TUBING (8) or the new AIPC 52-35-84-01-060 HEAT-SHRINK TUBING (8) or the new AIPC 52-35-04-02-075 HEAT-SHRINK TUBING (8) on the wire harness (9).
     (b) Connect the wire harness (9) to the terminals of the lamp body (3) with the SOLDERING IRON.
     (c) Give protection to the soldering terminals of the lamp body (3) with the heat-shrink tubing (8).
     (d) Use the GUN - HOT AIR to heat-treat the heat-shrink tubing (8).
     (e) Install the castle nut (11) and the lock washer (12) on the lamp body (3).
     (f) Put the lamp body (3) in position on the new
AIPC 52-35-04-01-050 SEAL (10) or the new AIPC 52-35-84-01-090 SEAL (10) or the new AIPC 52-35-04-02-060 SEAL (10) and the plate (13).
     (g) Install the lock washer (12) and the castle nut (15) on the lamp body (3).
     (h) Make sure that the distance between the lower surface of the plate (13) and the thread end of the lamp body (3) is 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.).
     (i) If not, turn the castle nuts (11) and (15) until the distance is correct.
     (j) TORQUE the castle nut (15) with the
98F52308330000 SPANNER-WRENCH to between 0.21 and 0.19 m.daN (18.58 and 16.81 lbf.in ) T.
   (2) Carefully assemble the plate (13) together with the seal (10) on the service panel (7) and attach them with the screws (14).
   (3) Prepare the installation area as follows:
     (a) Remove the used sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC from the surface of the aft control panel.
     (b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Install the service panel (7) on the aft control panel as follows:
     (a) Put the service panel (7) and the new
AIPC 52-35-04-01-150 SEAL (6) or the new AIPC 52-35-84-01-030 SEAL (6) or the new AIPC 52-35-04-02-030 SEAL (6) on the aft control panel and attach them with the washers (5) and the screws (4).
     (b) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.
06AAA1) around the edge of the service panel (7) and the aft control panel.
     (c) Let the sealant dry.
     (d) Apply Varnish-- - Structure Legacy (Material No.04TMM9) around the edge of the service panel (7) and the aft control panel to prevent damage to the sealant.
     (e) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (f) Connect the connector (16) to the receptacle of the service panel (7).
   (5) Install the lamp assembly (1) together with the rubber cap (2) in the lamp body (3). Make sure that you cannot see the castle nut (15) when the rubber cap (2) is on it.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test
   (1) Make sure the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Push the lamp cover (1) and make sure that the indicator light comes on.
   (4) Open the cargo door and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the applicable floor panel into the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
   (3) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (4) Close the access panel 154AR.

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
