3. Job Set-up

A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable cargo compartment door (referred to as cargo door).
   (2) Remove the access panel 825AR or 826AR as necessary.
   (3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-35-00-860-057-A
A. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Do a BITE test of the LGCIU2 (Ref. AMM TASK 32-69-00-740-001). This makes sure that the LGCIU and the sensors are in a serviceable condition.
   (2) Get access to the parameter call-up menus (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008).

B. Functional Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
On the MCDU:
  • On the AIDS PAREM LABEL CALL-UP page, enter the parameter label call-up 6D/2/022/10 with the alpha numeric keys (related to LGCIU2 LABEL 22).
  • The parameter label call-up is shown on the bottom of the display (scratchpad).
  • Push the line key 1L or 4L to get the parameter label call-up.
The parameter label call-up is shown with the data.
  • Wait for 5 seconds.
  • Make sure the LGCIU 2 Label 22 shows the target NEAR/FAR status of sensor 5MJ/12MJ.
2.At the FWD cargo door (sensor 5MJ):
On the MCDU:
  • Make sure that the door is closed, the handle is in the locked position and is stowed correctly.
  • The label 22 bit 20 shows 0 (TARGET FAR).
3.At the FWD cargo door:
On the MCDU:
  • Push the handle flap in and pull the locking handle out of the recess.
  • The label 22 bit 20 stays 0 (TARGET FAR).
4.At the FWD cargo door:
On the MCDU:
  • Move the locking handle to the unlocked position.
  • The label 22 bit 20 shows 1 (TARGET NEAR).
5.At the FWD cargo door:
On the MCDU:
  • Close and lock the fwd cargo door correctly.
  • The label 22 bit 20 shows 0 (TARGET FAR).
   (1) For the AFT cargo door (sensor 12MJ), label 22 bit 21, do again steps 2. thru 5.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the applicable cargo door is correctly closed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (2) Install the access panel 825AR or 826AR as necessary.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
