CAUTION: IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

Subtask 52-35-00-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the access door 134AR or 154AR to get access to the selector of the control panel.
   (2) Open the FWD and/or AFT cargo-compartment door(s) (referred to as cargo door(s)) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position to the cargo door.
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-35-00-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Check of FWD and AFT Door Closing Inhibition by Door Sill Latch Switch
   (1) Do this check to make sure that the microswitches of the door sill latches prevent the door from closing.
NOTE: If the check does not show the correct results, stop it immediately and repair the applicable parts.

1.In the door sill area:
In the door sill area:
  • push down the pedal of the door sill latch 2004VU-1 (2004VU-3).
  • the microswitch 2507MJ opens the ground control circuit.
2.On the control panel:

  • turn the selector to the OPEN position.
  • the Yellow electric pump 3075GX does not operate.
3.On the control panel:
On the control panel:
  • release the selector.
  • the selector turns to the NEUTRAL position.
4.In the door sill area:
In the door sill area:
  • release the door sill latch 2004VU-1 (2004VU-3)
  • push down the pedal of the door sill latch 2004 VU-2 (2004 VU-4).
  • the microswitch 2507MJ closes the ground control circuit
  • the microswitch 2507MJ opens the ground control circuit.
5.On the control panel:

  • turn the selector to the OPEN position.
  • the Yellow electric pump 3075GX does not operate.
6.On the control panel:
On the control panel:
  • release the selector.
  • the selector turns to the NEUTRAL position.
7.In the door sill area:
In the door sill area:
  • release the door sill latch 2004VU-2 (2004VU-4)
  • move down the overridable Y-latch of the door sill latch 2004VU.
  • the microswitch 2507MJ closes the ground control circuit
  • the microswitch 2508MJ (2509MJ) opens the ground control circuit.
8.On the control panel:

  • turn the selector to the OPEN position.
  • the Yellow electric pump 3075GX does not operate.
9.On the control panel:
On the control panel:
  • release the selector.
  • the selector turns to the NEUTRAL position.
10.In the door sill area:
In the door sill area:
  • release the overridable Y-latch.
  • the microswitch 2508MJ (2509MJ) closes the ground control circuit.
11.On the control panel:

  • turn the selector to the CLOSE position.
  • the cargo door starts to close.

Subtask 52-35-00-410-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the FWD or AFT cargo-compartment door(s) is (are) correctly closed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (2) Close the access door 134AR or 154AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
