CAUTION:
USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED MATERIALS AND OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURERS. OTHER MATERIALS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION OF THE COMPONENTS AND THE RELATED AREA.
CAUTION:
IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

Subtask 52-33-32-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(2) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(3) Make sure that the quick-release fasteners are released and the sidewall panels 162BW and 162EW are removed.
(4) Make sure that the protection cover (20) together with the plate (39) and the gasket (40) are removed from the floor panel 162KF.
(5) Make sure that the floor panels 162HF, 162GF, 162KF and 162LF are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(6) If necessary, disengage the disc fasteners and the hook and loop tapes to remove the insulation mats adjacent the bulk door frame.
Subtask 52-33-32-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(2) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(3) Make sure that the quick-release fasteners are released and the sidewall panels 162BW and 162EW are removed.
(4) Make sure that the protection cover (20) together with the plate (39) and the gasket (40) are removed from the floor panel 162KF.
(5) Make sure that the floor panels 162HF, 162GF, 162KF and 162LF are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(6) If necessary, disengage the disc fasteners and the hook and loop tapes to remove the insulation mats adjacent the bulk door frame.

Subtask 52-33-32-910-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Remove the sealant from the stop fitting (2) and the bulk door frame with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Non structural use - - (Material No.08BPA1) and a SCRAPER - WOODEN or SCRAPER - PLASTIC.
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to all bolts which attach the different components.
(5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the mating surface of the stop fitting (2).
Subtask 52-33-32-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Door Frame Fittings
(1) Install the stop fitting (2) as follows:
(a) Attach the stop fitting (2) with the bolts (4), (5), the washers (3) and the nuts (1) at the bulk door frame.
(b) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
.
(2) Install the forward latch spigot (18) as follows:
(a) Put the serrated plate (13) and the forward latch spigot (18) in position on the serrated plate (12) of the bulk door frame. Make sure that the notches of these components are aligned.
(b) Attach the forward latch spigot (18) with the bolts (15), (16), the washers (14), (17) and the nuts (11), (10) at the bulk door frame. Do not torque the nuts at this stage.
(3) Install the aft latch spigot (27) with the related Proximity switch 50WV as follows:
(a) Put the serrated plate (31) and the aft latch spigot (27) in position on the serrated plate (30) of the bulk door frame.
(b) Make sure that the notches of these components are aligned.
(c) Attach the aft latch spigot (27) with the bolts (33), (37), the washers (32), (38) and the nuts (29), (28) at the bulk door frame. Do not torque the nuts at this stage.
(4) If necessary, assemble the proximity target (36) to the lever of the aft latch spigot (27) as follows:
(a) Turn the proximity target (36) until the clearance between the target plate and the surface of the lever is 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.) (Pre-set measurement).
(b) Install the new AIPC 52-33-32-03-150 TAB WASHER (34) and the nut (35) to the proximity target (36).
(c) Do not safety the nut (35) with the new tab washer (34) at this stage.
Subtask 52-33-32-820-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the stop fitting (2) as follows:
(a) Attach the stop fitting (2) with the bolts (4), (5), the washers (3) and the nuts (1) at the bulk door frame.
(b) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
. (2) Install the forward latch spigot (18) as follows:

(3) Install the aft latch spigot (27) with the related Proximity switch 50WV as follows:
(a) Put the serrated plate (31) and the aft latch spigot (27) in position on the serrated plate (30) of the bulk door frame.
(b) Make sure that the notches of these components are aligned.
(c) Attach the aft latch spigot (27) with the bolts (33), (37), the washers (32), (38) and the nuts (29), (28) at the bulk door frame. Do not torque the nuts at this stage.
(4) If necessary, assemble the proximity target (36) to the lever of the aft latch spigot (27) as follows:
(a) Turn the proximity target (36) until the clearance between the target plate and the surface of the lever is 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.) (Pre-set measurement).
(b) Install the new AIPC 52-33-32-03-150 TAB WASHER (34) and the nut (35) to the proximity target (36).
(c) Do not safety the nut (35) with the new tab washer (34) at this stage.
C. Adjustment Procedure
(1) Carefully close the Bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(2) Make sure that the skin offset between the Bulk cargo-compartment door and the fuselage contour is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(3) Make sure that the Bulk cargo-compartment door closes easily.
(4) Adjust the position of the forward and/or aft latch spigot as follows:
(a) Measure the clearance Z between the barrel locks of the locking mechanism and the latch spigot.
(c) TORQUE the nuts (10) and (28) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(d) TORQUE the nuts (11) and (29) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
.
(5) Adjust the proximity switch 50WV as follows:
(a) Measure the distance X between the target plate and bracket surface.
(c) Tighten the nut (35) and safety it with the new tab washer (34).
(d) Install the proximity sensor (25) with the safety washer (23) and the nut (24) to the bracket of the aft latch spigot (27).

(f) Connect the connector of the cable loom (26) to the proximity sensor (25).
(6) Do an operational test to make sure that the function of the proximity switch 50WV is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).
5. Close-up(1) Carefully close the Bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(2) Make sure that the skin offset between the Bulk cargo-compartment door and the fuselage contour is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(3) Make sure that the Bulk cargo-compartment door closes easily.
(4) Adjust the position of the forward and/or aft latch spigot as follows:
(a) Measure the clearance Z between the barrel locks of the locking mechanism and the latch spigot.
NOTE: The clearance Z must be min. 0.10 mm (0.0039 in.) .
(b) If the clearance Z is not correct, adjust the position of the latch spigot with the related serrated plate (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001). (c) TORQUE the nuts (10) and (28) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
. (d) TORQUE the nuts (11) and (29) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
. (5) Adjust the proximity switch 50WV as follows:
(a) Measure the distance X between the target plate and bracket surface.
NOTE: The distance X must be between 44.2 mm (1.7402 in.) and 44.8 mm (1.7638 in.).
(b) If the distance X is not correct, loosen the nut (35) and adjust the proximity target (36) until the distance is correct. (c) Tighten the nut (35) and safety it with the new tab washer (34).
(d) Install the proximity sensor (25) with the safety washer (23) and the nut (24) to the bracket of the aft latch spigot (27).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(e) Safety the nut (24) and the safety washer (23) with (f) Connect the connector of the cable loom (26) to the proximity sensor (25).
(6) Do an operational test to make sure that the function of the proximity switch 50WV is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).
Subtask 52-33-32-916-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Protective Treatment
(1) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to all nuts.
(2) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around all nuts and the edges of the stop fitting (2).
(3) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to protect the bead of the sealant.
(4) Apply a protective layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) to all components which have no other surface protection.
Subtask 52-33-32-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to all nuts.
(2) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around all nuts and the edges of the stop fitting (2).
(3) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to protect the bead of the sealant.
(4) Apply a protective layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) to all components which have no other surface protection.
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) If removed, attach the insulation mats with hook and loop tapes and disc fasteners adjacent to the bulk door frame.
(3) Install the floor panels 162HF, 162GF, 162KF and 162LF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).
(4) Put the protection cover (20) of the proximity switch 50WV with the plate (39) and the gasket (40) in the installation position.
(5) Attach the protection cover (20) with the screws (21) and the washers (21) on the bulk door frame and the floor panel 162KF.
(6) Install the sidewall panels 162BW and 162EW with the related quick-release fasteners.
(7) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(8) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-33-32-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) If removed, attach the insulation mats with hook and loop tapes and disc fasteners adjacent to the bulk door frame.
(3) Install the floor panels 162HF, 162GF, 162KF and 162LF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).
(4) Put the protection cover (20) of the proximity switch 50WV with the plate (39) and the gasket (40) in the installation position.
(5) Attach the protection cover (20) with the screws (21) and the washers (21) on the bulk door frame and the floor panel 162KF.
(6) Install the sidewall panels 162BW and 162EW with the related quick-release fasteners.
(7) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(8) Remove the access platform(s).
