IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the divider net and the door net are removed.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Examine the interspaces and the inner skin of the Bulk cargo door for damage (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-200-001).
(2) Make sure that the inner surface of the outer skin is clean before you install the new self-adhesive insulation panels (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-100-001).
(3) Make sure that the VELCRO tapes (4) are in the correct condition.
