Installation of the Bulk Cargo-Compartment Door

CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. Subtask 52-33-11-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the AFT cargo-compartment door and the Bulk door.
(3) Make sure that the divider net between the AFT/Bulk cargo compartment at FR59 is removed.
(4) Make sure that the door net from the opening of the Bulk cargo compartment is removed.
(5) Make sure that sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the AFT cargo-compartment door and the Bulk door.
(3) Make sure that the divider net between the AFT/Bulk cargo compartment at FR59 is removed.
(4) Make sure that the door net from the opening of the Bulk cargo compartment is removed.
(5) Make sure that sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
Subtask 52-33-11-910-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the bushes (4) are in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that the forward and aft hinge frames are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Make sure that the sleeve (17) and the bush (16) are in the correct condition.
(4) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the contact surfaces of the bushes (4),(16) and the sleeve (17).
(5) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the bolts (5), the single shims of the shim set (12) and the spacers (11),(14).
Subtask 52-33-11-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the bushes (4) are in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that the forward and aft hinge frames are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Make sure that the sleeve (17) and the bush (16) are in the correct condition.
(4) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the contact surfaces of the bushes (4),(16) and the sleeve (17).
(5) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the bolts (5), the single shims of the shim set (12) and the spacers (11),(14).
B. Installation of the Bulk Door
(1) If removed, install the bushes (4) into the forward and aft hinge frames of the fuselage structure.
(2) Put the replacement Bulk cargo door into the correct position of the door opening.
(3) Make sure that the lateral clearances between the Bulk cargo door and the fuselage are correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(4) Attach the forward and aft hinge arms (13) on the forward and aft hinge frames of the fuselage structure as follows:
(a) Install the bolts (5) together with the spacers (11), (14) and the related shim sets (12) on the forward and aft hinge frames.
(b) Make sure that the thickness of the shim sets (12) is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(c) Install the washers (3) and the nuts (2) on the bolt (5).
(d) Tighten the nuts (2) with your hand at this time.
(5) Attach the bonding straps (8) on the brackets (7) of the forward and aft hinge frames as follows:
(a) Make sure that the bonding straps (8) and the contact surface of the brackets (7) are in the correct condition (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(b) Put the bonding straps (8) on the brackets (7) and attach them with the screws (10), the washers (9) and the nuts (6).
(c) Tighten the nuts (6) correctly.
(d) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the bonding attachment area.
(6) Connect the connection rod (15) to the fuselage structure to set the pre-tension of the balance mechanism as follows:
(a) Make sure that the torsion spring of the balance mechanism is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-003).
(b) If removed, install the bush (16) and the sleeve (17) into the fuselage fitting (21).
(c) Carefully move the Bulk cargo door to its fully open position.
(d) Put the eye-end of the connection rod (15) on the fuselage fitting (21) to install the bolt (22).
(f) Tighten the nut (19) with your hand.
(g) Make sure that the gage (25) between the forward lever (24) and the stop fitting (26) is removed.
Subtask 52-33-11-820-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If removed, install the bushes (4) into the forward and aft hinge frames of the fuselage structure.
(2) Put the replacement Bulk cargo door into the correct position of the door opening.
(3) Make sure that the lateral clearances between the Bulk cargo door and the fuselage are correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(4) Attach the forward and aft hinge arms (13) on the forward and aft hinge frames of the fuselage structure as follows:
(a) Install the bolts (5) together with the spacers (11), (14) and the related shim sets (12) on the forward and aft hinge frames.
(b) Make sure that the thickness of the shim sets (12) is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(c) Install the washers (3) and the nuts (2) on the bolt (5).
(d) Tighten the nuts (2) with your hand at this time.
(5) Attach the bonding straps (8) on the brackets (7) of the forward and aft hinge frames as follows:
(a) Make sure that the bonding straps (8) and the contact surface of the brackets (7) are in the correct condition (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(b) Put the bonding straps (8) on the brackets (7) and attach them with the screws (10), the washers (9) and the nuts (6).
(c) Tighten the nuts (6) correctly.
(d) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the bonding attachment area.
(6) Connect the connection rod (15) to the fuselage structure to set the pre-tension of the balance mechanism as follows:
(a) Make sure that the torsion spring of the balance mechanism is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-003).
(b) If removed, install the bush (16) and the sleeve (17) into the fuselage fitting (21).
(c) Carefully move the Bulk cargo door to its fully open position.
(d) Put the eye-end of the connection rod (15) on the fuselage fitting (21) to install the bolt (22).
NOTE: If this is not possible, adjust the length of the connection rod (15) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-003).
(e) Install the bolt (22), the washers (20) and the nut (19). (f) Tighten the nut (19) with your hand.
(g) Make sure that the gage (25) between the forward lever (24) and the stop fitting (26) is removed.
C. Adjustment Procedure
(1) Adjust the skin offset between the outer skin of the bulk door and the fuselage (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(2) Make sure that the balance mechanism is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-003).
(3) Make sure that the locking mechanism is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-002).
Subtask 52-33-11-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Adjust the skin offset between the outer skin of the bulk door and the fuselage (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-001).
(2) Make sure that the balance mechanism is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-003).
(3) Make sure that the locking mechanism is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-33-11-820-002).
D. Final Installation
(1) TORQUE the nuts (2) to between 4.8 and 4.2 m.daN (35.40 and 30.97 lbf.ft )
.
(2) Safety the nuts (2) with new AIPC 52-33-04-01-130 COTTER PINS (1) or AIPC 52-33-84-01-130 COTTER PINS (1).
(3) TORQUE the nut (19) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )
.
(4) Safety the nut (19) with new AIPC 52-33-04-01-070 COTTER PIN (18) or AIPC 52-33-84-01-070 COTTER PIN (18).
5. Close-up(1) TORQUE the nuts (2) to between 4.8 and 4.2 m.daN (35.40 and 30.97 lbf.ft )
. (2) Safety the nuts (2) with new AIPC 52-33-04-01-130 COTTER PINS (1) or AIPC 52-33-84-01-130 COTTER PINS (1).
(3) TORQUE the nut (19) to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )
. (4) Safety the nut (19) with new AIPC 52-33-04-01-070 COTTER PIN (18) or AIPC 52-33-84-01-070 COTTER PIN (18).
Subtask 52-33-11-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Lubricate the cargo door seal (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-018).
(4) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(5) Install sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(6) Install the door net in the bulk cargo-compartment door opening.
(7) Install the divider net between the bulk/aft cargo compartment at FR59.
(8) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(9) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-33-11-410-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Lubricate the cargo door seal (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-018).
NOTE: For lubrication of the cargo door seal, refer to the latest revision of EASA AD 2021-0049.
(3) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) on all components which you touched or moved during the replacement procedure. (4) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(5) Install sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(6) Install the door net in the bulk cargo-compartment door opening.
(7) Install the divider net between the bulk/aft cargo compartment at FR59.
(8) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(9) Remove the access platform(s).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Lubricate the cargo door seal (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-018).
(4) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(5) Install sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(6) Install the door net into the bulk cargo-compartment door opening.
(7) Install the divider net between the bulk/aft cargo compartment at FR59.
(8) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(9) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-33-11-410-050-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Lubricate the cargo door seal (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-018).
NOTE: For lubrication of the cargo door seal, refer to the latest revision of EASA AD 2021-0049.
(3) Apply a protective film of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) on all components which you touched or moved during the replacement procedure. (4) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(5) Install sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(6) Install the door net into the bulk cargo-compartment door opening.
(7) Install the divider net between the bulk/aft cargo compartment at FR59.
(8) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(9) Remove the access platform(s).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) on all components which you touched or moved during the replacement procedure.
(3) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(4) Install sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(5) Install the door net in the bulk cargo-compartment door opening.
(6) Install the divider net between the bulk/aft cargo compartment at FR59.
(7) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(8) Remove the access platform(s).

(2) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) on all components which you touched or moved during the replacement procedure.

(4) Install sidewall panels 162WW, 162VW and 162UW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(5) Install the door net in the bulk cargo-compartment door opening.
(6) Install the divider net between the bulk/aft cargo compartment at FR59.
(7) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(8) Remove the access platform(s).
