CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE DOOR HANDLE IS ALIGNED WITH THE HANDLE RECESS BEFORE YOU PUSH IT INTO ITS RECESS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE OUTER SKIN.

     (e) Move the bulk cargo door manually inboard until the hook engages with the hook arrester of the fuselage crossbeam.
     (f) Safety the bulk cargo door with a ROPE DIA 50 MM (2 IN) or a STRAP - LIFTING to the hook arrester of the fuselage.
NOTE: This makes sure that the bulk cargo door does not fall when you release the hook during the closing procedure.
   (2) Close the bulk cargo door as follows:
     (a) Remove the ROPE DIA 50 MM (2 IN) or the STRAP - LIFTING.
     (b) Push the button of the external door handle to release it from its recess.
     (c) Move the external door handle to the OPEN position and hold the bulk cargo door so that it does not fall.
     (d) If you close the bulk cargo door from the inner side, continue as follows:
1 Move the bulk cargo door slowly down until the hook is free from the hook arrester.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE DOOR HANDLE IS ALIGNED WITH THE HANDLE RECESS BEFORE YOU PUSH IT INTO ITS RECESS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE OUTER SKIN.
2 Move the external door handle to the LOCKED position and push it into its recess.
     (e) Move the bulk cargo door down into the door opening and put the applicable door handle in the LOCKED position.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE DOOR HANDLE IS ALIGNED WITH THE HANDLE RECESS BEFORE YOU PUSH IT INTO ITS RECESS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE OUTER SKIN.
