Removal of the X-Stops
CAUTION:
IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

Subtask 52-32-31-010-051-A
A. Get Access
(1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and safety it with the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the opened cargo door.
(3) Remove the access panel 826AR from the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-14-000-801).
(4) Remove the fairing from the outer skin of the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).
(5) Remove the necessary lining and insulation from the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-000-001).
Subtask 52-32-31-865-052-A (1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and safety it with the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the opened cargo door.
(3) Remove the access panel 826AR from the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-14-000-801).
(4) Remove the fairing from the outer skin of the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).
(5) Remove the necessary lining and insulation from the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Removal of the X-stops
(1) Remove the lateral screws (1) and (10).
(2) Remove the nuts (5) and (14), the washers (6) and (15) and the screws (3) and (12).
(3) Remove the X-stops (2) and (11) and the shims (4) and (13) from the cargo door.
