A. Get Access
(1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the opened cargo door.
Subtask 52-32-21-865-071-A (1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the opened cargo door.
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Remove the access panel 826AR from the cargo door to get access to the locking shaft.
(2) Remove the lining and insulation of the cargo door to get access to the affected drift pin mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the access panel 826AR from the cargo door to get access to the locking shaft.
(2) Remove the lining and insulation of the cargo door to get access to the affected drift pin mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-000-001).
Subtask 52-32-21-020-061-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Drift Pin Assembly
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (285) from the nut (286).
(2) Remove the nut (286), the washers (287) and (289) and the bolt (282) to disconnect the drift pin (283) from the linkage (281).
(3) Move the drift pin (283) out of the edge member bearing (284).
(4) If necessary, remove the bush (288) from the fork end of the drift pin (283).
Subtask 52-32-21-020-061-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (285) from the nut (286).
(2) Remove the nut (286), the washers (287) and (289) and the bolt (282) to disconnect the drift pin (283) from the linkage (281).
(3) Move the drift pin (283) out of the edge member bearing (284).
(4) If necessary, remove the bush (288) from the fork end of the drift pin (283).
A. Removal of the Drift Pin Assembly
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (1) from the nut (2).
(2) Remove the nut (2), the washers (3) and (5) and the bolt (7) to disconnect the drift pin (8) from the linkage (6).
(3) Move the drift pin (8) out of the edge member bearing (9).
(4) If necessary, remove the bush (4) from the fork end of the drift pin (8).
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank lever (37) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (27) from the nut (26).
2 Remove the nut (26), the washers (25) and the bolt (24).
3 Remove the horizontal connection rod (28) from the bellcrank lever (37).
(6) Remove the horizontal connection rod (42) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank lever (41) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (27) from the nut (26).
2 Remove the nut (26), the washers (25) and the bolt (24).
3 Remove the horizontal connection rod (42) from the bellcrank lever (41).
(7) Remove the horizontal connection rod (29) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank levers (39) and (41) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pins (20) from the nuts (21).
2 Remove the nuts (21), the washers (22) and the bolts (23).
3 Remove the horizontal connection rod (29).
(8) Remove the vertical control rod (35) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank lever (40) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pins (34) from the nuts (33).
2 Remove the nuts (33), the washers (32) and the bolts (31).
3 Remove the vertical control rod (35) from the bellcrank lever (40) and the lever of the cover assembly (36).
Subtask 52-32-21-020-062-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (1) from the nut (2).
(2) Remove the nut (2), the washers (3) and (5) and the bolt (7) to disconnect the drift pin (8) from the linkage (6).
(3) Move the drift pin (8) out of the edge member bearing (9).
(4) If necessary, remove the bush (4) from the fork end of the drift pin (8).
NOTE: The linkage assembly includes the horizontal connection rods (28), (29) and (42) and the vertical control rod (35).
(5) Remove the horizontal connection rod (28) as follows: (a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank lever (37) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (27) from the nut (26).
2 Remove the nut (26), the washers (25) and the bolt (24).
3 Remove the horizontal connection rod (28) from the bellcrank lever (37).
(6) Remove the horizontal connection rod (42) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank lever (41) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (27) from the nut (26).
2 Remove the nut (26), the washers (25) and the bolt (24).
3 Remove the horizontal connection rod (42) from the bellcrank lever (41).
(7) Remove the horizontal connection rod (29) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank levers (39) and (41) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pins (20) from the nuts (21).
2 Remove the nuts (21), the washers (22) and the bolts (23).
3 Remove the horizontal connection rod (29).
(8) Remove the vertical control rod (35) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the rod-end from the bellcrank lever (40) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pins (34) from the nuts (33).
2 Remove the nuts (33), the washers (32) and the bolts (31).
3 Remove the vertical control rod (35) from the bellcrank lever (40) and the lever of the cover assembly (36).
B. Removal of the Linkage Assembly
(a) Disconnect the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (299) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (301) from the nut (300).
2 Remove the nut (300), the washers (297) and the bolt (298).
3 Remove the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (299).
(b) Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (285) from the nut (286).
2 Remove the nut (286), the washer (287) and the bolt (282).
3 Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283).
4 If necessary, remove the bush (288) from the drift pin (283).
(c) Disassemble the horizontal connection rod (290) for the removal as follows:
1 Remove the nuts (295), the washers (294) and the bolts (293).
2 Disconnect the rod-ends (281) and (292) from the center rod (291) and remove all parts from the door structure.
(2) Do the same steps to remove the horizontal connection rod (296).
(3) Remove the vertical control rod (328) as follows:
(a) Install the PIN - RIGGING (311) into the bearing assy (329) and the shaft lever (332).
(b) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the control rod (328) from the shaft lever (327) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (325) from the nut (326).
2 Remove the nut (326), the washers (312) and the bolt (311).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (328) from the shaft lever (327).
(c) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (328) from the shaft lever (332) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (335) from the nut (333).
2 Remove the nut (333), the washers (331) and the bolt (330).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (328) from the shaft lever (332).
(4) Remove the vertical control rod (317) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (318) from the nut (319).
2 Remove the nut (319), the washers (320) and the bolt (322).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321).
(b) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (323) from the nut (324).
2 Remove the nut (324), the washers (316) and the bolt (315).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314).
(5) Disassemble the bearing housing (329) as follows:
(a) Remove the rigging pin (311) from the bearing housing (329).
(b) Remove the nut (347), the spacer (346) and the tapered pin (345) from the bellcrank lever (299).
(c) Remove the bellcrank lever (299) from the support shaft (344).
(d) Remove the nut (341), the spacer (342) and the tapered pin (343) from the shaft lever (332).
(e) Remove the support shaft (344) from the bearing housing (329) and collect the shaft lever (332).
(6) Disassemble the housing assy (359) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (358), the washers (357) and the housing assy (359) from the beam (349).
(b) Remove the nut (356), the spacer (355) and the tapered pin (354) from the shaft lever (327).
(c) Remove the shaft lever (327) and the spacer (353) from the support shaft (348).
(d) Remove the nut (350), the spacer (351 and the tapered pin (352) from the shaft lever (314).
(e) Remove the support shaft (348) from the housing (359) and collet the shaft lever (314).
Subtask 52-32-21-020-062-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The linkage assembly includes the horizontal connection rods (290) and (296) and the vertical control rods (328) and (317).
(1) Remove the horizontal connection rod (290) as follows: (a) Disconnect the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (299) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (301) from the nut (300).
2 Remove the nut (300), the washers (297) and the bolt (298).
3 Remove the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (299).
(b) Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (285) from the nut (286).
2 Remove the nut (286), the washer (287) and the bolt (282).
3 Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283).
4 If necessary, remove the bush (288) from the drift pin (283).
(c) Disassemble the horizontal connection rod (290) for the removal as follows:
1 Remove the nuts (295), the washers (294) and the bolts (293).
2 Disconnect the rod-ends (281) and (292) from the center rod (291) and remove all parts from the door structure.
(2) Do the same steps to remove the horizontal connection rod (296).
(3) Remove the vertical control rod (328) as follows:
(a) Install the PIN - RIGGING (311) into the bearing assy (329) and the shaft lever (332).
(b) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the control rod (328) from the shaft lever (327) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (325) from the nut (326).
2 Remove the nut (326), the washers (312) and the bolt (311).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (328) from the shaft lever (327).
(c) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (328) from the shaft lever (332) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (335) from the nut (333).
2 Remove the nut (333), the washers (331) and the bolt (330).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (328) from the shaft lever (332).
(4) Remove the vertical control rod (317) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (318) from the nut (319).
2 Remove the nut (319), the washers (320) and the bolt (322).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321).
(b) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (323) from the nut (324).
2 Remove the nut (324), the washers (316) and the bolt (315).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314).
(5) Disassemble the bearing housing (329) as follows:
(a) Remove the rigging pin (311) from the bearing housing (329).
(b) Remove the nut (347), the spacer (346) and the tapered pin (345) from the bellcrank lever (299).
(c) Remove the bellcrank lever (299) from the support shaft (344).
(d) Remove the nut (341), the spacer (342) and the tapered pin (343) from the shaft lever (332).
(e) Remove the support shaft (344) from the bearing housing (329) and collect the shaft lever (332).
(6) Disassemble the housing assy (359) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (358), the washers (357) and the housing assy (359) from the beam (349).
(b) Remove the nut (356), the spacer (355) and the tapered pin (354) from the shaft lever (327).
(c) Remove the shaft lever (327) and the spacer (353) from the support shaft (348).
(d) Remove the nut (350), the spacer (351 and the tapered pin (352) from the shaft lever (314).
(e) Remove the support shaft (348) from the housing (359) and collet the shaft lever (314).
B. Removal of the Linkage Assembly
(a) Disconnect the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (300) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (297) from the nut (298).
2 Remove the nut (298), the washers (299) and the bolt (301).
3 Remove the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (300).
(b) Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (285) from the nut (286).
2 Remove the nut (286), the washers (287) and (289) and the bolt (282).
3 Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283).
4 If necessary, remove the bush (288) from the drift pin (283).
(c) Disassemble the horizontal connection rod (290) for the removal as follows:
1 Remove the nuts (295), the washers (294) and the bolts (293).
2 Disconnect the rod-ends (281) and (292) from the center rod (291) and remove all parts from the door structure.
(2) Do the same steps to remove the horizontal connection rod (296).
(3) Remove the vertical control rod (306) as follows:
(a) Install the PIN - RIGGING (304) into the bearing assy (305) and the shaft lever (332).
(b) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the control rod (306) from the double lever (330) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (333) from the nut (334).
2 Remove the nut (334), the washers (335) and the bolt (336).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (328) from the double lever (330).
(c) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (306) from the shaft lever (309) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (308) from the nut (307).
2 Remove the nut (307), the washers (302) and the bolt (302).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (306) from the shaft lever (309).
(4) Remove the vertical control rod (311) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the connection rod (311) from the shaft lever (327) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (325) from the nut (326).
2 Remove the nut (326), the washers (312) and the bolt (313).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (311) from the shaft lever (327).
(b) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (311) from the double lever (330) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (332) from the nut (331).
2 Remove the nut (331), the washers (329) and the bolt (328).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (311) from the double lever (330).
(5) Remove the vertical control rod (317) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (318) from the nut (319).
2 Remove the nut (319), the washers (320) and the bolt (322).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321).
(b) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (323) from the nut (324).
2 Remove the nut (324), the washers (316) and the bolt (315).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314).
(6) Disassemble the bearing housing (305) as follows:
(a) Remove the rigging pin (304) from the bearing housing (305).
(b) Remove the nut (347), the spacer (346) and the tapered pin (345) from the bellcrank lever (300).
(c) Remove the bellcrank lever (300) from the support shaft (344).
(d) Remove the nut (341), the spacer (342) and the tapered pin (343) from the shaft lever (309).
(e) Remove the support shaft (344) from the bearing housing (305) and collect the shaft lever (309).
(7) Disassemble the housing assy (359) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (358), the washers (357) and the housing assy (359) from the beam (349).
(b) Remove the nut (355), the spacer (354) and the tapered pin (353) from the shaft lever (327).
(c) Remove the shaft lever (327) from the support shaft (348).
(d) Remove the nut (350), the spacer (351 and the tapered pin (352) from the shaft lever (314).
(e) Remove the support shaft (348) from the housing (359) and collet the shaft lever (314).
(8) Disassemble the double lever assy (380) as follows:
(a) Remove the nut (385), the spacer (384) and the tapered pin (383) from the double lever (330).
(b) Remove the support shaft (382) from the support (381) and collet the collect the double lever (330).
NOTE: The linkage assembly includes the horizontal connection rods (290) and (296) and the vertical control rods (306), (311) and (317).
(1) Remove the horizontal connection rod (290) as follows: (a) Disconnect the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (300) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (297) from the nut (298).
2 Remove the nut (298), the washers (299) and the bolt (301).
3 Remove the rod-end (292) from the bellcrank lever (300).
(b) Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (285) from the nut (286).
2 Remove the nut (286), the washers (287) and (289) and the bolt (282).
3 Disconnect the rod-end (281) from the drift pin (283).
4 If necessary, remove the bush (288) from the drift pin (283).
(c) Disassemble the horizontal connection rod (290) for the removal as follows:
1 Remove the nuts (295), the washers (294) and the bolts (293).
2 Disconnect the rod-ends (281) and (292) from the center rod (291) and remove all parts from the door structure.
(2) Do the same steps to remove the horizontal connection rod (296).
(3) Remove the vertical control rod (306) as follows:
(a) Install the PIN - RIGGING (304) into the bearing assy (305) and the shaft lever (332).
(b) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the control rod (306) from the double lever (330) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (333) from the nut (334).
2 Remove the nut (334), the washers (335) and the bolt (336).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (328) from the double lever (330).
(c) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (306) from the shaft lever (309) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (308) from the nut (307).
2 Remove the nut (307), the washers (302) and the bolt (302).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (306) from the shaft lever (309).
(4) Remove the vertical control rod (311) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the connection rod (311) from the shaft lever (327) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (325) from the nut (326).
2 Remove the nut (326), the washers (312) and the bolt (313).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (311) from the shaft lever (327).
(b) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (311) from the double lever (330) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (332) from the nut (331).
2 Remove the nut (331), the washers (329) and the bolt (328).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (311) from the double lever (330).
(5) Remove the vertical control rod (317) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the lower fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (318) from the nut (319).
2 Remove the nut (319), the washers (320) and the bolt (322).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the drift pin lever (321).
(b) Disconnect the upper fork-end of the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (323) from the nut (324).
2 Remove the nut (324), the washers (316) and the bolt (315).
3 Disconnect the connection rod (317) from the shaft lever (314).
(6) Disassemble the bearing housing (305) as follows:
(a) Remove the rigging pin (304) from the bearing housing (305).
(b) Remove the nut (347), the spacer (346) and the tapered pin (345) from the bellcrank lever (300).
(c) Remove the bellcrank lever (300) from the support shaft (344).
(d) Remove the nut (341), the spacer (342) and the tapered pin (343) from the shaft lever (309).
(e) Remove the support shaft (344) from the bearing housing (305) and collect the shaft lever (309).
(7) Disassemble the housing assy (359) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (358), the washers (357) and the housing assy (359) from the beam (349).
(b) Remove the nut (355), the spacer (354) and the tapered pin (353) from the shaft lever (327).
(c) Remove the shaft lever (327) from the support shaft (348).
(d) Remove the nut (350), the spacer (351 and the tapered pin (352) from the shaft lever (314).
(e) Remove the support shaft (348) from the housing (359) and collet the shaft lever (314).
(8) Disassemble the double lever assy (380) as follows:
(a) Remove the nut (385), the spacer (384) and the tapered pin (383) from the double lever (330).
(b) Remove the support shaft (382) from the support (381) and collet the collect the double lever (330).
