A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that applicable overwing emergency-door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) is closed, latched and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
(3) Make sure that you obeyed the special precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(4) On the overhead panel, on the SIGNS section of the control panel 25VU, make sure that:
(6) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the EMER button and its light are off.

(4) On the overhead panel, on the SIGNS section of the control panel 25VU, make sure that:
- The EMER EXIT LT switch is in the OFF position.
- The NO PED switch is in the OFF position.
(6) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the EMER button and its light are off.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

A. Installation of the Handle Proximity Sensor
(1) Put the sensor (4) in position on the bracket (5).
(2) Install the locknut (7) with the lockwasher (6).
(3) Make sure that the lockwasher (6) is correctly engaged in the related hole of the bracket (5).
(4) TORQUE the locknut (7) to between 20 and 16 m.N (14.75 and 11.80 lbf.ft )

(5) Safety the locknut (7):

(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the receptacle of the sensor (4).
Subtask 52-22-71-820-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the sensor (4) in position on the bracket (5).
(2) Install the locknut (7) with the lockwasher (6).
(3) Make sure that the lockwasher (6) is correctly engaged in the related hole of the bracket (5).
(4) TORQUE the locknut (7) to between 20 and 16 m.N (14.75 and 11.80 lbf.ft )

WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Safety the locknut (7) with (6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the receptacle of the sensor (4).
B. Adjustment of the Proximity Sensor
(1) Do an adjustment of the applicable proximity sensor (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-805).

(1) Do an operational test to make sure that the proximity sensor operates correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

Subtask 52-22-71-410-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the handle cover (1) on the overwing emergency-exit door and make sure that the studs (2) engage correctly.
(3) In the cockpit, on the ECAM DOOR/OXY page, the status of the related emergency exit door changes from AMBER color (door open) to GREEN color (door closed).
