A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that applicable overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) is closed, latched and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
(3) Make sure that the door lining of the overwing emergency-exit door is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
(4) Make sure that the applicable insulation is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 52-22-71-865-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that applicable overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) is closed, latched and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
(3) Make sure that the door lining of the overwing emergency-exit door is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
(4) Make sure that the applicable insulation is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Preparation for Installation
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

A. Installation of the Lock Proximity Switch
(2) Install the locknut (1) with the new lockwasher (2).
(3) Make sure that the lockwasher (2) is correctly engaged in the related hole of the bracket (3).
(4) TORQUE the locknut (1) to between 20 and 16 m.N (14.75 and 11.80 lbf.ft )

(5) Safety the locknut (1) with14QFC1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES - .
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the receptacle of the switch (4).
Subtask 52-22-71-820-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Put the switch (4) in position on the bracket (3). (2) Install the locknut (1) with the new lockwasher (2).
(3) Make sure that the lockwasher (2) is correctly engaged in the related hole of the bracket (3).
(4) TORQUE the locknut (1) to between 20 and 16 m.N (14.75 and 11.80 lbf.ft )

(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the receptacle of the switch (4).
B. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(1) Do an adjustment of the applicable proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-805).
