A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that you obey the special precautions before you work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
   (3) Make sure that applicable overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
   (4) Make sure that related cover 241ADW (242ADW) or 241AEW (242AEW) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
   (5) Make sure that the adjacent lower sidewall panel (dado panel) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-22-61-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Locking Hook
   (1) Put the plate (4) and the locking hook (3) in position on the structure (8).
   (2) Adjust the locking hook (3) until it aligns with the notch of the plate (4).
NOTE: The adjustment space between the position of the plate (4) and the structure (8) is 1 mm (0.04 in.).
NOTE: The adjustment space between the position of the locking hook (3) and the plate (4) is 0.75 mm (0.03 in.).
   (3) Fill the space between the locking hook (3) and the plate (4) with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) (6).
   (4) Install the bolts (1), the washers (2) and the nuts (5) on the locking hook (3).
   (5) TORQUE the nut (5) to between 1.38 and 1.06 m.daN (122.12 and 93.81 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Apply Varnish Polyurethane-- Marking Structure (Material No.
04SAB2) to the heads of the bolts (1) and the nuts (5).
   (7) Apply a layer of the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) (7) around the edge of the locking hook (3) and the plate (4).

B. Adjustment Procedure for the Locking Hooks
   (1) Do the adjustment of the locking hooks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-820-803).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Check
   (1) Open applicable overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
   (2) Close applicable overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
   (3) Make sure that the locking hooks operate correctly.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the adjacent lower sidewall panel (dado panel) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001).
   (3) Install related cover 241ADW (242ADW) or 241AEW (242AEW) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-803).
   (4) Close applicable overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 843) or 834 ( 844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
   (5) Obey the special precautions after you work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-081-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
