A. Get Access
(1) Do the special precautions before work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper Ecam DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the DOOR pushbutton switch. The DOOR/OXY page comes into view on the lower ECAM display unit.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-22-00-720-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Functional Check of the Flight Lock Mechanism

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:

DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE

WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

(1) Make sure that the applicable overwing emergency exit-door is closed, latched and locked and that the handle cover is installed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
(2) On the lower ECAM display unit, on the DOOR/OXY page, make sure that the symbol of the emergency overwing door is green.
(3) Remove the handle cover and put the release lever in the DISARMED position.
(4) Open the emergency overwing door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
(5) On the lower ECAM display unit, on the DOOR/OXY page, make sure that the symbol of the emergency overwing door is amber.
(6) Close and lock the emergency overwing door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
(7) Put the slide release lever in the ARMED position and install the handle cover.
(8) On the lower ECAM display unit, on the DOOR/OXY page, make sure that the symbol of the emergency overwing door is green .

(1) Do the special precautions after work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-081-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
