A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the special precaution before work on the offwing escape-slide systems:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:
  • DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
  • DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE
WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
     (a) Do the special precaution before work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the door lining of the emergency overwing door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-22-00-710-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Check of the Emergency Overwing Door-Mechanisms
   (1) From the cabin side:
     (a) Unlock and lift the emergency overwing door with the inner handle (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
     (b) Make sure that these mechanisms operate correctly:
  • Unlocking mechanism
  • Unlatching mechanism
  • Lifting mechanism.
     (c) Make sure that the vent flap (1) operates correctly.
     (d) Lower and lock the the emergency overwing door with the inner handle (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
     (e) Make sure that these mechanisms operate correctly:
  • Locking mechanism
  • Latching mechanism.
   (2) From the external side of the aircraft:
     (a) Unlock and lift the emergency overwing door with the outer handle (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-803).
     (b) Make sure that these mechanisms operate correctly:
  • Unlocking mechanism
  • Unlatching mechanism
  • Lifting mechanism.
     (c) Lower and lock the the emergency overwing door with the inner handle (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
     (d) Do a visual check to make sure that the applicable emergency overwing door is correctly closed:
       1 On the visual lock indicator (21), make sure that the black arrows (23) are aligned with the black lines (22) from the green segment.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the door lining of the emergency overwing door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-803).
   (3) Do the special precautions after you did work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-081-001).
