(1) Put the slide release shaft in the DISARMED position:
(a) For overwing emergency-exit-door 833(844):

- Pull the lever to the right and turn it clockwise until the lever is behind the disarm bracket.
- Make sure that the slide release lever is not in the front of the fuselage lever.
- Pull the lever to the left and turn it counterclockwise until the lever is behind the disarm bracket.
- Make sure that the slide release lever is not in the front of the fuselage lever.
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR IN THIS POSITION TO PREVENT EMERGENCY ESCAPE SLIDE DEPLOYMENT.
ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT OF THE EMERGENCY ESCAPE SLIDE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) For overwing emergency-exit-door 833(844): - Pull the lever to the right and turn it counterclockwise until the lever is released from the disarm bracket.
- Make sure that the release shaft clutch engages and the slide release lever is in front of the fuselage lever.
- Pull the lever to the left and turn it clockwise until the lever is released from the disarm bracket.
- Make sure that the release shaft clutch engages and the slide release lever is in front of the fuselage lever.

(1) Install the lining of the overwing emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-803).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
