3. Procedure
Subtask 52-21-00-040-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Deactivation of the Cabin Overwing Exit
(1) Put a temporary "DO NOT USE" PLACARD at each deactivated door to tell persons not to use them.
(2) Put a temporary "DO NOT USE" PLACARD on each of the remaining seats to tell persons not to use them.
(3) For the deactivated exit(s), put a COVER - BLANKING on the applicable arrow of the related EXIT marking sign and on the related wall-mounted EXIT marking sign.
(4) If both cabin overwing exits are deactivated on one side:
(a) Fully cover the related EXIT marking sign with a COVER - BLANKING.
(b) Put a COVER - BLANKING on the related wall-mounted EXIT marking signs.
(c) Put a COVER - BLANKING on the applicable arrow of the EXIT location sign in the ceiling.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Make an entry in the logbook.
