Replacement of the Extruded Rubber Seal
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN OR GO NEAR PRESSURE-SEALED DOORS WHEN THE AIRCRAFT IS PRESSURIZED.
A PRESSURE-SEALED DOOR THAT OPENS WHEN THE AIRCRAFT IS PRESSURIZED:
- WILL CAUSE EXPLOSIVE DECOMPRESSION.
- CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
- KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
1. Reason for the Job- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.

A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 832 or 842.
(2) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

A. Replacement of the Extruded Rubber Seal
(1) If installed, remove the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
(2) Remove the defective extruded rubber seal (1).
(3) Remove the remaining adhesive tape with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC and the BRUSH - BRISTLED, STIFF.
(4) Clean the surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(5) Install the new AIPC 52-13-18-01-410 EXTRUDED RUBBER SEAL (1) or the new AIPC 52-13-84-27-460 EXTRUDED RUBBER SEAL (1) with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
(6) If necessary, install the new Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
(7) Make sure that the extruded rubber seal (1) is in the correct position.
(8) Do an operational check of the applicable passenger/crew door to make sure that it continues to open and close correctly.
5. Close-up(1) If installed, remove the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
(2) Remove the defective extruded rubber seal (1).
(3) Remove the remaining adhesive tape with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC and the BRUSH - BRISTLED, STIFF.
(4) Clean the surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(5) Install the new AIPC 52-13-18-01-410 EXTRUDED RUBBER SEAL (1) or the new AIPC 52-13-84-27-460 EXTRUDED RUBBER SEAL (1) with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
(6) If necessary, install the new Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
(7) Make sure that the extruded rubber seal (1) is in the correct position.
(8) Do an operational check of the applicable passenger/crew door to make sure that it continues to open and close correctly.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Obey the special precautions after you did the work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
