A. Get Access
(2) Open the door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in the zone 832 or 842. - KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(2) Open the door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-13-18-340-056-A
A. Temporary Repair of the Rubbing Strip of the Cover Plate
(2) Remove the damaged strip.
(3) Do a detailed visual inspection of the damaged strip mating area of the fuselage door cutout area to confirm that the skin panel is not damaged by the strip NTM 519000.
(5) Do the step Para 4.A.(1),Para 4.A (3),Para 4.A.(4) every 50 FC.
(6) After 550 FC, install new strip according to Para 4.B.
Subtask 52-13-18-340-053-A NOTE: This temporary repair has a limit of 550 flight cycles.
(1) Do a door inspection for distortion in the damaged strip area SRM 521000. (2) Remove the damaged strip.
(3) Do a detailed visual inspection of the damaged strip mating area of the fuselage door cutout area to confirm that the skin panel is not damaged by the strip NTM 519000.
NOTE: If the primer is visible, strip has to be replaced according to Para 4.B.
(4) Do an operational check to ensure that the door movement is not affected during the door open/close. (5) Do the step Para 4.A.(1),Para 4.A (3),Para 4.A.(4) every 50 FC.
(6) After 550 FC, install new strip according to Para 4.B.
B. Repair of the Rubbing Strip of the Cover Plate
(1) Remove the defective rubbing strip.
(2) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC and a BRUSH - BRISTLED, STIFF to remove the damaged sealant.
(3) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . Use the minimum quantity of cleaning agent that is necessary to clean the area. Dry the area immediately with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Clean the surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(5) If necessary, do the protection treatment and the paint coating repair on the cover plate with Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) and Primer Polyurethane Paint_- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04EAC2) SRM 512111 SRM 517512.
(6) Use TAPE - ADHESIVE to show the limits of the bonding areas on the cover plate.
(7) Mix Contact Adhesive-Rubber & Plastic Bonding Neoprene base - (Material No.05JBC9) with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(8) Use a BRUSH - BRISTLED to apply a thin and constant layer of Contact Adhesive-Rubber & Plastic Bonding Neoprene base - (Material No.05JBC9) to the cover plate.
(9) Use a BRUSH - BRISTLED to apply Contact Adhesive-Rubber & Plastic Bonding Neoprene base - (Material No.05JBC9) to the neoprene side of the rubbing strip.
(10) Let the adhesive cure until it is not tacky (evaporation of solvents).
(11) Put the rubbing strip on the cover plate and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(12) Apply pressure to all the surface of the rubbing strip. Make sure that there are no bubbles under the rubbing strip.
(13) Remove the paper adhesive tapes.
(14) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) along the bottom edge of the rubbing strip.
(15) For a better bonding, it is recommended to apply a constant pressure to all the surface of the rubbing strip during 24 hours.
(16) Do a check of the preload of cover plate (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-220-007).
5. Close-up(1) Remove the defective rubbing strip.
(2) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC and a BRUSH - BRISTLED, STIFF to remove the damaged sealant.
(3) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . Use the minimum quantity of cleaning agent that is necessary to clean the area. Dry the area immediately with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

(11) Put the rubbing strip on the cover plate and make sure that it is in the correct position.
