B. Get Access
(2) Open the applicable FWD passenger/crew door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001)
Subtask 52-13-14-865-073-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable aft passenger crew/door 832 or 842. - KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(2) Open the applicable FWD passenger/crew door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001)
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Removal of the Door-Damper and Emergency-Operation Cylinder
(1) Remove the door-damper and emergency-operation cylinder, if not removed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-14-000-001).
(2) Remove the telescopic rod (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-14-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the door-damper and emergency-operation cylinder, if not removed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-14-000-001).
(2) Remove the telescopic rod (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-14-000-002).

A. Inspection of the Door-Damper and Emergency-Operation Cylinder
(1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the bushes, the parts, the link assemblies of the door-damper and emergency-operation cylinder.
(2) Make sure that the dimensions are correct.
(3) If the wear of the bushes (1) and (3) is not in the tolerances.
(a) Replace the bushes (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-915-001).
(b) Or replace the parts on which the bushes are installed.
(4) If the wear of the bushes (13) is not in the tolerances and the link assembly (11) is worn or unserviceable.
(a) Replace the door-damper and emergency-operation cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-14-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-14-400-001).

(b) Or replace the parts on which they are installed.

C. Close Access
(1) Obey the special precautions after the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the FWD passenger/crew door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 52-13-14-862-053-A (1) Obey the special precautions after the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the FWD passenger/crew door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
