A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the applicable passenger/crew door.
(2) Make sure that passenger/crew door 831( 841) is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the applicable passenger/crew door.
(2) Make sure that passenger/crew door 831( 841) is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 52-11-31-420-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Drain Pans
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the drain tubes.
(4) Put the drain pans (7) in position.
(5) Make sure that the drain pans (7) are correctly installed in the drain tubes.
(6) Install the clip nuts (4) on the fittings (5).
(7) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the mating surface of the drain pans (7), fittings (5), nuts (9) and bolts (8).
(8) Install the nut plates (6) and the fittings (5).
(9) Install the bolts (8) and the nuts (9) on the fittings (5).
(10) Tighten the nuts (9).
(11) Install the shims (3) on the fittings (5).
Subtask 52-11-31-420-062-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the drain tubes.
(4) Put the drain pans (7) in position.
(5) Make sure that the drain pans (7) are correctly installed in the drain tubes.
(6) Install the clip nuts (4) on the fittings (5).

(10) Tighten the nuts (9).
(11) Install the shims (3) on the fittings (5).

(9) Install the bolts (9) and the nuts (10) on the fittings (5).

(12) Install the shims (3) on the fittings (5).

(7) Install the clip nuts (4) on the fittings (5).
(8) Install the nut plates (6) and the fittings (5).
(9) Install the bolts (9) and the nuts (10) on the fittings (5).
(10) Tighten the nuts (10).
(11) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) or Polyurethane Sealant-Gap Filler Easily Removed - - (Material No.06DHG1) on the heads of the fasteners of the drain pans (7).
(12) Install the shims (3) on the fittings (5).
B. Installation of the Blanking Plates
(1) Clean all the surfaces between the components with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
(2) Put the blanking plates (1) in position.
(3) Install the cords (11) Cord-- Nylon Braided - (Material No.14RAC1) in the joints around the blanking plates (1).
(4) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) between the blanking plates (1) and the fittings (5).
(5) Install the screws (2).
(6) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )

5. Close-up(1) Clean all the surfaces between the components with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
(2) Put the blanking plates (1) in position.
(3) Install the cords (11) Cord-- Nylon Braided - (Material No.14RAC1) in the joints around the blanking plates (1).
(4) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) between the blanking plates (1) and the fittings (5).
(5) Install the screws (2).
(6) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )

B. Close Access
(1) Remove all the ground support equipment, the maintenance equipment, the standard and special tools and all other items.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close passenger/crew door 831( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
